He was just trying to be funny.;)
Funny is great.. but you know how things go around here... it starts out with an innocent post and ends up another thread of depression....
I have reread it and yes... @rnese those are hilarious... I was worried you had let it ruin your vacation.. :)

As far as pet peeves go someone had it in a thread earlier today... its the big old ipad as far up as a 6 foot person can put in to make it where its all I can see of the fireworks...
AND I will say something... But I never let it mess up my vacation! :)

Who do those people think they are? Don't they know they can see the fireworks on Youtube? The nerve of some people...

Course not. Why give others that satisfaction?

Pet peeves:
That one group that blocks the entire Fastpass line because their are good in five minutes and now they are arguing with the cast members to let them in.
Brazilians.
Cheerleaders.
Brazilian cheerleaders.
That screaming kid in line for Dumbo (oh wait, that was me fifteen years ago)

When you're the FIRST people into the "stretching" room of the Haunted Mansion, and a cast member tells you to move all the way forward so all of the people BEHIND YOU can exit the room BEFORE YOU to board the doom buggies! Oh, that really grinds my gears!

5. When your 7 year-old and 5 year-old are experiencing the "magic" by looking at something interesting, when someone comes along riding one of those scooters (who doesn't really require one), he stops...stares...and HONKS THE HORN for the kids to move...then rides away angry (This is a true story...I kid you not)

What really "grinds YOUR gears"?

Those horns sends me into instant rage. You are not in a car. There is nothing to block the sound that would travel from your mouth. We are two feet from each other. USE YOUR WORDS.

So you're the culprit? Lol. Don't do this in WDW. You will get some very nasty looks. Also possibly a comment or two from my father. ;) But seriously, some Argentinians tried this last trip and got yelled at in Spanish by an American man. We consider it rude. Now, if you've gotten caught in a crowd and you're trying to rejoin the group just a few guests in front of you, that's fine (I do this too, though I can play innocent and say, "Please, I need to get to my parents"), especially if it's one or two people. But we still consider it more polite if you let the group in behind you pass. I think this must be an East Coast thing. What @rnese was talking about is a group of 10, when one person is ahead of you and the other 9 expect to get by. THAT is rude. What we really consider rude is if you have part of your group wait in line for you and try to push your way all the way through the line. You'll get a bunch of annoyed looks, sighs, and if you're unlucky, a rant from someone who tells you no.

That's not a rude thing, where I'm from, and I'd do it anywhere. Should anyone have a problem with it, it will be resolved. I have no problem telling people where to go and how to get there lol.

Somehow I think me and you are very different people :D

The one thing annoys me is when you go on a ride that is supposed to be creating an atmosphere that is dark and creepy, such as the Tower of Tower and especially in the case of the Haunted Mansion. And the Ghost Host is doing one of his great speeches...and EVERYONE is talking. Just mouthing off at the top of their voices like no one else is around trying to get lost in the ride.

I'm not talking about kids here, I'm talking about grown adults. When the really impressive and creepy effects are going on on TOT - 'that's so aresome, Oh My Gad, Isn't that aresome?' Kills it. And then in the Haunted Masion people are just talking, having normal everyday conversations at a loud volume. All the way through. I'M TRYING TO GET LOST IN THE MOMENT HERE, YOU INSUFFERABLE PEASANTS.

And talking over the Cast Members jokes, that is unforgivable. Is it just me or did this rudeness not used to happen as much? When I first went on the Haunted Mansion about 15 years ago I remember everyone waiting in the lift quietly in aniticipation, then hanging onto every creepy word. Sure, kids would start squealing occassionally, but that was about it.

Yeah, I did notice a distinct culture difference in CA verses here. Can't really remember everything I noticed, so I'll get back to you on that one when I get back. ;) I know you have not problem telling people off; I've seen you do it on here! I'm thinking, "Man, I don't think I'd want to meet her in a back alley!" Lol. Just know we consider it to be a tad rude, but as long as you're not doing the whole, "My group is in the front of the line and I am in the back of the line, so you must let me by," when we've been waiting in line for an hour (though I don't personally wait in lines) we generally will just roll our eyes, say something under our breath, and let you by. Seriously, that's what Fastpasses are for, and there's no reason to wait more than 30 minutes for a ride unless you choose to visit during an exceptionally crowded period such as Christmas IMO.

We must be similar people because I totally agree with you! But um, considering I was 3 15 years ago, I can't really answer your question;) , though IMO the me first attitude in general just gets worse and worse. I'm a newer driver, and it amazes me how rude people on the road are, and MD supposedly has some of the most courteous drivers in the country! Rudeness caused my car accident last July.:(

Grinding my gears:
1. Waiting while the person in front of me is putting in 500 tickets for FP while I only need one.
2. Learning that my favorite ride is going down for refurb the week before my trip.
3. Getting my trip planned and then find out I made my ADR on a day I'm not going in that park.
4. Not having a towel animal in my room when I return from the day in the park.
5. Heading to the resort hot tub and finding it full of drunken obnoxious guests who are in no hurry to leave
6. SLOW BUSES. Hit the gas man and get me to the park. Those rides are waiting for MEEEEE.
7. The signs that say... No more FP available.
8. The signs that say 60+ min standby waits
9. The sight of yellow, green, red or any other color tour group flags
10. Posts about refillable mugs, Andys here, whats your favorite... thats been asked a million times before

Last time I went I found out Space Mountain was closed for refurbishment upon entering Tomorrowland. Didn't get over it for weeks. Devastated.
I snooped your profile and saw that your last trip was 2010. Yes it was closed for a long time back then. But it had so many issues with breakdowns, aging, and other issues that it was necessary. Go back, they added music:)

A group of about 15 drunken idiots being picked up at the Downtown Disney bus stop heading back to the resort and have little kids and their annoyed parents be subjected to F bombs and sexual acts discussed in great detail rather loudly and yelled halfway across the bus. So much so that the bus driver has to pull over, twice, turn on the lights and scold those involved. This delaying our voyage another 20 minutes.

Drink as much as you want. Glad you were responsible enough to take a bus. All I ask is to act like you've been there before and don't be so obnoxiously rude. Especially when you are a group of adults celebrating a 40th birthday. I know they were because the birthday "boy" told me at least a dozen times from Downtown Disney to the Yacht Club. Only later to come across same birthday "boy" puking into the lagoon at the Boardwalk after which he took off his shirt, wiped his mouth and threw the shirt into the water. People spend thousands on the one week a year they can take off and spend time with their family and people like that have to ruin it for them.

I am extremely glad to hear the bus driver at least attempted to put an end to the vulgar language at least.

Also, back to scooters. I should carry a horn around with me to honk at others that annoy me.
