I don't seem to have heard as much about this lately.
Are they still giving away as many dreams as when the promotion initially launched, or have things slowed down a bit now?

It is still going strong. People are loving it. I wouldn't be surprised if much of it stayed after the celebration is over. Why just yesterday, a family showed up at 7:30 AM just so they could be the "Big Kahuna" at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. As it turns out, they timed well and were the Big Kahuna.

When you congratulate people on their lanyards or fast passes, they light up and want to tell you how they received it. Some are confused and don't understand what a big deal it is. However, once explained, they are all excited.

That's cool.
60 days to go, hope we will be some of the lucky ones! If not, we'll still have a fab time though, it's been nearly 2 years since we last went to WDW - can't wait to be back!

It's still really strong, and in addition to all the prizes, almost every location does something special every hour or so. I know at Emporium, we "swim" around the store in search of Nemo, and pick a little girl to act as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother and make an outfit for her to wear to the ball. There's also a Hidden Mickey Search in Tomorrowland, Experiment hunter at Merchant of Venus, and Eyeball bowling at the Hollywood Tower Hotel, just to name a few.

When my family went in June, not only did we receive "ultimate fastpasses" while exiting Space Moutain, but while leaving MGM during extra magic hours two dream, squad members approached us, and after awhile of conversing about our trip, offered a backstage tour of MGM if we were willing to come back the following day.

This was a chance I could not pass up. Thus, we headed back to MGM, called our "dream squad tour guide," and set about our private tour. Our guide led us through all the attractions, spoke about the history of attractions, the naming of things, and even the expense of different objects. For instance, the MGM socerer's hat in MGM cost over 17 million dollars! It was also fascinating hearing the "ins and outs" of the Great Movie Ride.

Low and behold, the highlight was getting on the rides with no wait (a huge perk) and feeling as though we were the only family in the park. It was nice after vacationing in Disney for the past 20 years.

I dearly hope that the dream giving continues on. :)
