Yeti Status

Now that it has been almost two months since Expedition Everest opened, I was wondering on the status of the ride...

Does mist come up anymore when the train leaves the station?

Is the Yeti working in A mode or B mode more often?

Is there also mist inside the mountain still?

I guess basically what I am wondering is if anything is broken and needing to be fixed as of now. (not including the show building, please)

The Yeti has been working pretty well. The steam at load has also been working most of the time. The mist inside the mountain is still MIA.

The mist inside the moutain waas causing corrosion/electrical problems and WDI is working on a system that does not use water. They are trying to get the mist back.

I was reading somewhere (I think it was the Unofficial guide) about some of the special effects they had planned to put in EE...

Disney promises some truly special effects for Expedition Everest, including icy winds, bad smells, and one of the largest, most sophisticated animatronic figures ever made. -The Unofficial guide to WDW 2006

I don't think I've ever heard anything about icy winds or bad smells, has anyone experienced this?

Hi
I just got back and rode it for the first time. Let me tell you it was worth the wait.
I didn't felt any mist, inside or outside. The two times we rode it, the Yeti was working well, I saw him better the second time around...Since I already knew where he was. He is huge. I am going to write a trip report and submit a picture I got from the Yeti, which came out awesome.

No icy winds or bad smells...I believe the icy winds they originally referred to was the cool air and mist as you whipped through the mountain - which has been MIA since soft opening. There WAS mist there the first time I rode in March -- it's not there now. THere have never been any bad smells - except for the occasional kid sitting next to you.
