Remember, most posters here are so consumed with hate and cynicism, that even the simplest queries from people who perhaps don't know any better are met with nastiness. Notice how its always the same ones too. Hmmm.
I have been kind of surprised by all the judgemental hate and nastiness on these forums. Then general assumption is the poster is always wrong. I think its kind of silly for a group of people who like to vacation at the happiest place. Yesterday I mentioned to someone down here in Key West, that some people just go on vacation to be miserable in a better climate. Seems like a lot of posters here just want to be miserable with mouse ears on. After 20 years of being on forums about motorcycles, skateboarding, fishing, and marine biology, this place has the most miserable Internet tough guys. It's funny no matter how tough or smart you think you are, you still spent thousands of dollars to go ride Splash Mountain.
Lighten up.
That's why I made my comment. It wasn't about the discussion of the yeti but every 6 months or so someone claims he is missing, or working form a source on twitter, Facebook, etc. It's just not news until we see a refurb date threads like this tend to hold not much purpose but false hope/info.I just rode EE and the yeti is still there. My husband said the strobe lights looked different. I saw no difference.
Are you referring to my simple and very lax answer? For someone who makes claims of cynicism and nastiness on these boards you sure seem to engage and stir in a lot of it.Remember, most posters here are so consumed with hate and cynicism, that even the simplest queries from people who perhaps don't know any better are met with nastiness. I was the only poster in question in this thread so let's not play that because I have asked you several times when you refer to me to do so directly and you always pull this lol I am not phased I just want you to know that this little gig gets stale. You should know I prefer the direct approach when I engage in this so-called "pot stirring" but, you know what they say....
He is indeed there! So is the Yeti there or not??? We will in AL
And on EE in one week so I am eapically curious...
ThanksHe is indeed there!
Lol Okay well if ever you find out how to respond without needing a gif to formulate a dialog come back to me Also in the future just @ me, pm me I'd love to discuss whatever with you now back to my prescribed needless cynicism and hateSo stop buying a ticket
A long long time agoSo does this mean that disco died today?
Apparently it's in cannot C modeC mode
A long long time ago
I can still remember how
That strobe used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make that yeti dance
And maybe he'd be happy for a while
According to marni1971 it not only can be taken out but it has been taken out in the past. That not worth the fuss and expense is an argument that I have used over and over much to the frustration of the purist. It was a great and noble idea that unfortunately was very costly and incorrectly engineered. The attraction has not yet lost one rider due to it's being inactive, there is nothing other then pride that warrants fixing it and will likely be disco forever. The rest of the ride is the heart and soul of its popularity, the split second exposure, when noticed, was fairly impressive, however, it went unnoticed most of the time.I was under the impression the Yeti could not be removed due to being welded on to the mountain structure itself or something, could be wrong.
However I have ridden Everest many times and have never seen him, he goes by so quick that I'm not sure that it's even worth all the fuss.
Just out of curiosity, how does a strobe light get to be different? Does it go off - on, off - on instead of on - off, on - off? Just kidding with ya, but, it was the first thing I thought about when you mentioned what your husband said.I just rode EE and the yeti is still there. My husband said the strobe lights looked different. I saw no difference.

Can't find a single reason to disagree with that statement. Please fellow Disney fans, I beseech you not to become nattering nabobs of negativism. Have faith my friends. The Yeti will be fixed and fully functional right after Disney rebuilds the Adventurers Club.
