yea, but from what i have been told the problem is more in the dispatch part. apparently after the initial launch, it is just gravity that takes you through the rest of the ride, so its not likely to stop half way. (there are one or two boosters on the track that are used in the event that it won't make it back from the force of the initial launch.) thats my understanding of it anyway.

Updates

It's funny, all us Disney Freaks can't be there all the time and when we're not, these updates are like getting a letter from home. So glad your around!!

First of all, thank you for the updates...Secondly, is disney like falling apart? It seems like it from all these reports of rides being down and breaking all the time, it just seems as though disney needs to do a major overhaul on some of its systems.

Then all the reports would be people complaining about how nothing was open and parks were closed early.

People aren't interested in the rides that are working - it's not interesting news, so you'd never post about all the rides that are fine and working at 100%! That's why you only hear about the rides that aren't working.

PAL mickey info?

I have read all the info i can find on the PAL mickey and my one question about it is, ... will it work off property? I know it is location passed on property but will you be able to have him tell you stories and what not off property once you get home.

Also, ... thanks for all the WDW news, it is great to be 1,000 miles away but still know whats going on in the happiest place on earth.

Very good point. I was just saying thats all. It seems like all the big rides are down lately. TT is down at least once a day, and now ToT? Whats next?

It's pretty rare for ToT to shut down completely. It has two sides that are essentially two separate rides right next to each other. As soon as we were escorted back downstairs after getting stuck, we were immediately put on the next empty car on the other side, which was working fine.

I've been there two weeks ago. Before entering the pre-show, a cast member announced the ride had some technical difficulties that "shouldn't take more than 10 minutes". Well, it laster 12 minutes at least for the ride to keep going.
