Ok so this morning i went outside very early...and it felt like a "disney morning".
THe air wasn't quite that humid yet but you could tell...it was gonna be a hot one...dose anyone know what i mean..we always go down in september, so if anyone has gone around that time you know what i mean..so my question really is..do you ever do something , see something, what ever it may be and say.."god that reminds me of disney?" then of course have a small but brief moment of that "yes but i'm not there depression   "..i know i'm not the only one...

We always go in the summer and if I get up real early like 6-7am after it rains...that's just like Disney to me. Because we'd get up early to go get breakfast at the hotel. It reminds me of Disney because there's dew everywhere, and the hotel was really cold because of the air condition. And there's a wall of humidity..lol. I love that time..and it's real quiet. I'm going tomorrow morning..can't believe it.

I know exactly how that feels.

Every day when I leave work, which is in a heavily air conditioned building, I step out into the full humidity of the late afternoon. The resulting feeling is akin to the sensation I get after sitting through one of the shows or long attractions, especially the dark ones, and then stepping out into the sticky heat.

Then again, every time there is a sudden down pour, I feel like I'm back at WDW, since there were several cloudbursts that we were caught in. That soaked to the bone feeling is always a good reminder of WDW :p

Exactly. Especially if it was humid or rained the night before. Its like when they are hosing down the streets and sidewalks at the resorts and the parks.

Whenever I am outdoor shopping in the summer and step into a highly air conditioned store, feeling that blast of cool air reminds me of the Monorail.

Funny this thread started. I was just thinking about asking the same question...
I have a two block walk from the parking garage to my office. I have to walk through a little plaza that is filled with cafe's and coffee shops. But on one side of the plaza is a fairly new Biotech company building that has Disney like architecture and lights flush in the ground. Every morning while walking, I feel just like I would imagine it's like arriving to work as a CM. But the pleasant air this morning made it especially Disney like. I must say, it is a GREAT way to start each work day even if my job is far from a Disney job. :D

This happens to me all the time. Sometimes I'll have to get up around 8am to move my car so my mother can get out and the smell reminds me of WDW. I'm not a morning person so the only time I'm up at 8am is in WDW. HeHe

I do the exact same thing.I walked out of my house and went to my Mom doesnt it smell and feel like Disney. The Dew totally makes you feel like your at your Hotel walking outside first thing in the morning and its still quite and your walking for breakfast at the food court or your car to get to the TTC. Its great

As much as I thoroughly enjoyed my last trip to WDW and I look forward to my next, I haven't been to WDW often enough to have that kind of sensory recollection about it. There are some things that make me think of WDW, but they are typically associated with some memory of my honeymoon rather than a smell or the weather.

I do envy those of you with that kind of connection to the parks.

Everytime I look at the pictures that we took at Disneyworld I remember the trip all over again and all the fun we had just keeps coming back to me. Wonderful memories! Each time we go just creates more memories to cherish.:)

I know exactly what your talking about. I usually smell that certain disney smell around easter during springtime. This year I was walking out of my mothers house and as I walked to my car I felt a sudden breeze that made me stop. The breeze smelled like that familar "disney" smell. When I am really depressed about not being "home" I go to the disney store and buy stuff.:p 24 days till I'm home again!:sohappy:

Whenever I'm at a mall or any area where there are a lot of people, and someone tries to run me over with a baby stroller that has a baby in it, I think of Disney World! Also any time I'm at a restaurant that has really good theming, it reminds me of all the good imagineering at Disney. Birmingham used to have a French cafe that seemed to be lifted from the World Showcase.
