For me it is soooo fun. I get a call every once in a while from friends saying they are heading to Disney World. Then comes the big one "Will you help us plan it.". SURE. I have had nothing but a great time in these situations. Haven't had anyone return unhappy yet. For me it's a great release because I am not able to make it to Disney as often as I would like, so I get to live through them. Not sure if anyone else is in these situations but as I mentioned I LOVE IT!!!!!

I get that all the time from co-workers ar at my DW's church, she's a minister. I always tell first timers to get the unoffical guide check out this webisteand allearsnet and to get a copy of the vacation planning DVD, it's not as good as it used tobe but it is a visual of the parks and resorts.

I get friends who keep telling me that I need to broaden my horizons and go someplace else for vacation, then get the phone call.... "Ummmm we were thinking about going to Disney... where do we stay, where do we eat!?!??" LOL

The same happens to me. I am the first point of call and so far everyone has really appreciated the help. I even draw them up a mini planner with parks to visit and times of parades and wishes etc. (i leave them to pick the rides as thats half the fun) Disney is such passion I will never ever get fed up of helping people out, and obviously I am even more excited when I can finally do my planner.

Ya doing my own is much more exciting but I will take what I can get to get me through the rough times. I can live pretty good through others :) About the only thing I help them with is where to stay, the type of tickets they might get the most use out of, and some of the dining options they have available to them. Other than that it is up to them to figure out other things. Push a couple of different books on them and let them do the rest. Of course if they ask I will help.

People are always asking me for advice about Disney trips. After I help them, I always offer to go along as their private guide. In am hoping someday that someone takes me up on the offer.

Yes, I love it! Last year, my BFF gave me her credit card and just said book it! So I did. I booked everything and made all the plans! Funny side note - when doing this, get not just the ages of your friends kids but year of birth! She has 4 kids - 1, 2, 3 and 6. I got all tongued tied when making the ADR's and giving the ages of the kids based on years born! I knew their ages - at the time 5 months, 1 and 2. But I got all mixed up on when they were born! I said to the cast member pretending to be her "i've had 4 kids - forgive me". I eventually figured it out! HA! But yes, I love helping friends! The one thing that bugs though - is when they don't listen and then they do something that messes up and really effects the trip. I just want to shake them and say, "if you would have just listened to me this wouldn't have, happened!" Thankfully, most people listen to me like my BFF did and they are totally sucked in to all the magic! Love that!
