The entire garden and hillside is completely walled off, not just the house. Something tells me they are going to be doing some concrete work in this area due to this large area being walled off.

Maybe they should utilize the show building in the back and make some of it the new Yakitori and then rebrand the old Yakitori as Yakitori Classic. Eating outdoors is cool and all but not during the day.

The food and wine kiosk is out along with the customary 2 registers outside. They only have sushi, the shogun and teriyaki, and the kids meal teriyaki. No curry and udon!

The menu shows dining plan logos next to each of the food items. I thought that they only marked items that were snack credits.... Does that mean its all snack credits?

:( No sukiyaki beef for me in october! very sad, maybe the f/w booth will have some.. crossing fingers..

No Sukiyaki Beef AT ALL! They got rid of it a few months back. It was my favorite dish in all of World Showcase, so I contacted Guest Services to complain. They said they received complaints from other guests that it was too 'fatty' and replaced it with a healthier beef teriyaki, which I did not care for. They were kind enough to send me the Sukiyaki recipe though. I have reprinted below for any who may want it.

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

We want to thank you for your patience while we obtained the recipe for
the Beef Sukiyaki that you enjoyed at the Yakitori House
during your visit.

Beef Sukiyaki
Yakitori House
Japan Pavilion, Epcot®

Serves 4

Ingredients for Beef Sukiyaki:
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup water
¼ cup mirin (sweet cooking sake)
¼ cup sake
¼ cup sugar
1 pound beef, thinly sliced (chuck roast works well)
1 large onion, sliced

Ingredients for Teriyaki Sauce:
½ cup sake
1 cup soy sauce
½ cup mirin (sweet cooking sake)
½ cup sugar

Method of Preparation for Beef Sukiyaki:
1. In a sauté pan, add sake and bring to a boil for approximately 30
seconds.
2. Add soy sauce, water, mirin and sugar. When mixture comes to a
boil, reduce heat to medium.
3. Add the beef and onions and sauté. Remove foam at the
surface.
4. Once the beef is done, onions should be tender, remove from heat
and serve with or over steamed short grain rice.

Method of Preparation for Teriyaki Sauce
1. In a small saucepan, bring sake to a quick boil for approximately
30 seconds.
2. Add soy sauce, mirin and sugar. Reduce heat.
3. Simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens to a consistency of
your preference.
4. Top the beef and onion mixture.

NOTE: You can add any number of vegetables such as green onions, Nappa
cabbage, carrots, etc during the sauté process to add more depth of
flavor.
