Yacht Club vs. Polynesian

I have stayed at WDW tons of times but never at Yacht Club. I love Epcot, and you can walk to it so I am thinking about staying there but I love the Polynesian and it has a monorail. I have never stayed at either resort. Both have great pools and are both very close to parks. I cant make up my mind. What is the better resort.

I agree with Minnie Fan. My room was much bigger too, with 2 queen beds, and we had plenty of room for an armoire that held the TV and dresser, a separate minibar, and a table and chairs. Our bathroom was also much bigger--quite spacious and everything was sparkling clean and looked brand new (bathroom, draperies, carpeting, bedding, etc.). Our bathroom had a sink in the bathroom, and another sink area with a large vanity outside of the bathroom. We loved the Yacht Club and I'd go there again in a minute, but we are staying at the Polynesian later this month because we'll be with our son and he will like that better, plus it's on the monorail (a thrill in itself for him-- and for us!) and close to the MK.

Yes, All the things I mentioned are done in the standard rooms also. I know many who have gone on their birthday (make sure you tell them) and gotten the same treatment in a standard room. The standard rooms in some of the newer longhouses are actually larger than the concierge rooms and the smallest standard room at the Polynesian is larger than the largest standard room at the YC. I have pictures of both resorts. I will post the links below. My Polynesian pages will be back up tomorrow. They shut down at the end of the month because they get so much traffic. Being a lover of the monorail, how can you not stay at the Polynesian? :animwink:

After seeing your Polynesian website I think that thats where I will stay. I have always wanted to stay there since the first time I saw it. It sounds like a lot of fun. I want to stay on the third floor of the fiji building looking at the marina. I hope they will give me that building. (I have learned from experence that if you are very nice to the person at check-in you might get what you ask for) Thanks to everyone who is helping me. And tikiman, nice Polynesian website. I see why it has so many hits.

Brent,

If you want to request Fiji and want to face the marina (3rd floor) ask for one of the rooms from #3311-3322. I agree with the idea of being nice. I have actually had them look at all the available rooms and picked one from the list before.

Aloha
