From what I hear, unconfirmed of course, is that Yach Club will be the next resort to get flat screen plasma TVs, not sure if that means all new interior like Contemporary and Poly though.

Also.. Ive checked around, and most plasma TVs I have seen in Disney are Pioneer brand. On rides like Mission: Space they have torn off the Pioneer logo on the bottom. Anyone know if Disney and Pioneer have an agreement?

That would be nice, being Yacht Club is our Resort of choice.

I can also verify that the exterior of Yacht Club is getting extensive refurbishment all over the place, but in sections. Newer rooms would be great!

Why would they tear off the Pioneer logo if they have an agreement? I would think Pioneer would want them on there to advertise.

Ride theming. Pioneer isn't exactly known for their space equipment. Stereos/TVs, thats a whole 'nuther thing.

There is a big difference between a sponsorship agreement and a supplier agreement.

Sony used to supply all the CRT screens didn`t they? And sponsored Superstar Television. Maybe sponsorship/supply deals are in a bit of flux..

If you see Fuji film for sale you know Michael made one last impression on his way out... and look for construction at Japan in Epcot

Disney uses LCDs, not plasmas.

you sure about that? they look like CRT (regular tube tvs) built into the wall, but obviously 16:9 which makes them not regular at all. also true LCDs at that size (32' + perhaps) are VERY expensive at this time. 2300$+ the real question is do they have hdtv tuners and will WDW cable supply an hd signal.

LCD doesn't mean flat screen. There is also LCD projection, which would look like a CRT.

Also, your prices are about 6 months old. You can get a 32" HD flat screen LCD for under $1300.

Here's a quick for-instance.

That has the same screen as a Sony would. (Sony doesn't make their own stuff, they buy and rebrand)

1) Sigh. You said "they looked like CRTs". I responded to that.

2) SONY uses the same screen tech as the Hyundai set I linked you to. Yes, it isn't very good. However, Sony has been selling downright garbage for a while (like 5 years). However, here is a Samsung set for $1700.
