Playing off that idea, going into total over-the-top, might even be cooler to have you enter in the UK, board a train which takes you to Hogwarts. Say, located near the Studios or something. But you'd have to pick up the train in the UK.

Logistical nightmare and extreme cost? Sure. Really neat guest experience? Oh yeah!

This would be pretty cool

I think they would have created a whole park for it . not just a land and then add a resort with themed rooms for that area like hogwarts castle would have been the hotel and you would have been sorted into your houses (wings)
but this is just my opinion .

Even though this is a never happening alternate universe scenario, this would still require JK Rowling's demand for accuracy of the world she created. So to make Diagon Alley accurate... well if people think Hogsmeade has bad people flow. Diagon Alley would be stuffed like a subway car at rush hour.

I think Uni will end up here and I think Disney would have ended up here, as well. I think you will/would have seen Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade eventually, no matter whether it was Uni or Disney. JK Rowling is going to demand "authenticity", so it's the easiest way to increase capacity. You could then have another Ollivander's, another Honeyduke's, Leaky Cauldron to serve butterbeer...

Just as long as people don't have to enter Diagon Alley one small group at a time by tapping the right sequence of bricks on a nondescript wall, it will be awesome and a great capacity boost.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
...I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of building with meet n' greets for the Kingdom Keepers. :)
