So i was just pondering around the idea of What If and was wondering of all the parks, which park would they of put the WWoHP mini-park. And the Idea of DHS kinda seemed reasonable.

What are you thoughts ?? (IMO, Magic Kingdom and Epcot would of been the worst choices)

To actually answer your question...

I do agree that Studios would be the most logical place to put it but the problem there is space. They don't really have the room to make the all inclusive "world" that JK Rowling would want/need to sign off on the project. That being said, I also think that AK would be the next logical place. It would in a way take over the Beastly Kingdom area. I think all of the trees would bode well for creating the aura of stepping into another world and although you'd have to stretch your imagination a little to get it to fit it wouldn't be to far off. All of the creatures make it fit in my opinion.

I actually think Magic Kingdom would have been the best choice. MK already has the motifs of castles, villages, and magic, and considering the park is devoted to childhood stories and fantasy settings, it seems to me like Harry Potter would have been a natural fit. Maybe have the WDW Railroad make a stop at a "Hogsmeade station." Would have been a good replacement for the Fantasyland Expansion if you ask me.

I'd say hollywood studios would be the most logical fit in terms of theming (not considering space), second to that would be magic kingdom in place of the fantasyland expansion (if they can put beast's castle, why couldn't it have been hogwarts?)

Honestly though, my best answer would be 5th gate.... the 7 books and 8 movies gave way to a LOT of potential rides, shows, and walkthrough areas that could probably have all come together as an entire theme park, not a subset of an existing one. You would access the park by train of course, arriving in hogsmade, then there would be a lagoon with boats crossing to the school grounds and a walkway as an alternative... roller coaster for the flying car ride, a womping willow spinner, buzz lightyear/toy story mania type ride where you "zap" things with your "wand" as they pop out.... so much potential that will never be anything more than fun ideas to think about!

If space were no issue, I would have put it in the UK at World Showcase. Not taking over any of the existing pavilion, but as an addition in the back. Walking through the "real" UK first and then having the magical world "just under the surface" would mimic the feeling of the books. It would balance out the attraction lineup for WS. The characters are almost all British; it's a perfect fit. Plus, you would have been able to add Hogsmeade to your drinking around the world itinerary. :)

Actually not a bad idea there.

Playing off that idea, going into total over-the-top, might even be cooler to have you enter in the UK, board a train which takes you to Hogwarts. Say, located near the Studios or something. But you'd have to pick up the train in the UK.

Logistical nightmare and extreme cost? Sure. Really neat guest experience? Oh yeah!

Interesting idea, would make epcot more enjoyable, in my opinion.

Very cool idea! It would be awesome as far as storytelling was concerned and would give a whole new depth to Epcot.

Adding firewhiskey to drinking around the world would probably kill me. Or at least cause a lot of :hurl:

Though if Disney attached Harry Potter to the UK pavilion as a like hidden world just under the surface of the UK muggle world, I would think they would need to make it Diagon Alley over Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade and Hogwarts would be impossible to keep hidden under a little English village.

Even though this is a never happening alternate universe scenario, this would still require JK Rowling's demand for accuracy of the world she created. So to make Diagon Alley accurate... well if people think Hogsmeade has bad people flow. Diagon Alley would be stuffed like a subway car at rush hour.
