what kind of work is involved with being a writer imagineer? If I was one, would I be writing storylines for rides, or new land ideas, or what?

Do you mean a storywriter? If so there is a number of things that you can be involved with. When I was attending school in LA I had the opprotunity to interview Kevin Rafferty at WDI. He gave me alot of information about what he actually does. They work on the scripts for attractions as well as the written backstory for every attraction, store and restrauant. Everything you see at Disney has a story and someone has to write it. They also write all the signage and menus from what I understand.
