I am a huge wrestling fan... in case nobody knew haha. I am the ring announcer for stampede wrestling here in Calgary and i will definitely be watching wrestlemania this sunday. I have a trip to WDW planned in August... too bad it wasnt this week... Wrestlemania and WDW in the same week... that would be heaven.

I'm an American Coaster Enthusiast and we got the opportunity to go to Universal Studios this morning and ride The Hulk with WWE stars. It was pretty cool with a lot of international press and cameras everywhere. It'll probably be on the local Orlando news tonight. I'm not a WWE fan so I can't tell you who we rode with. I know there was a little guy with a mask, a big dude with a beard and a pony tail, a blond haired dude that looked like a surfer and another non-discript white dude. Never got to meet them but I was 4 rows back from them. We got to ride two times in a row so the camera crews could get the shot of them loading and unloading from the ride. A neat experience.

Was just on the WWE's website and the guys you got to ride with were Rey Mysterio (little guy with the mask), Mick Foley (big guy with the beard & ponytail), and Curt Hawkins & Zach Ryder (the other two guys).

Look for huge crowds this weekend with all that is wrestling taking over the city. 70,000 people are due in the city for Wrestlemania at the Citrus Bowl on sunday as well as TNA Impact! at Universal Studios as well as ROH Wrestling near by...... So plan accordingly.... Kids, Adults, TOurist, Parents, you name it they will all be there at WDW to lay a Smackdown on the Kingdom.....

1st Post!!!!

Well, so much for buying tank-tops, jean shorts or Copenhagen in Orlando this week.

my son would have flipped over this! just being that close to the wrestlers would have brought a huge smile to his face. (he is only 8 btw, but he loves wrestling)

Dozens hurt during Wrestlemania in Orlando due to fireworks

Associated Press - March 31, 2008 11:54 AM ET
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say dozens of people were injured at a Wrestlemania event in Orlando when fireworks and cables landed on the crowd.
Fans packed the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium Sunday night for the event. Orlando Fire Department spokesman Greg Hoggatt says a cable holding the fireworks collapsed at the end of the show, sending sparkles from the fireworks into the crowd. He says there were burn injuries "up and down the stadium."
At least 40 people were injured. Officials say all the injuries were minor, but at least three people were taken to a hospital. Their conditions are not yet known.
The phone number for the press relations office at the WWE Corporate Headquarters is busy. A message was left with stadium officials.
