Would you use a wheelchair?

use a wheelchair - not worth the hassel - you will NOT see these people again so meh - who cares....*

*you could tether your little people to the front and make them pull you if you don't want an ecv ;)

I agree, use the chair. Who cares what anyone else thinks. I have pushed my mom in the chair a few times now and no one has ever said a word (that I am aware of). She is also not a thin woman, but after having double knee replacements, walking WDW is no longer an option for her, so if she wants to go, she has to ride. I will be pushing her again in 3 weeks, well actually my hubby is going with this time, so he will be doing most of the pushing :D.

I am telling you that your husband will be pounded if he has to push you all day.. there are too many hills that you just don't seem to notice at WDW..

GET A SCOOTER.. TRUST ME..

OK so a month or so ago I broke my foot. I have been fighting and fighting with my body to be able to make it through the park for my one day excursion next Monday. Then yesterday happened. I now also have matching 9" deep chemical burns on my legs. They hurt enough that I cry when I walk to the bathroom and I have yet to stop bleeding. I am prayerful that they will heal enough, by next Monday, to not cause excrutiating pain but I am worried about it. I can not cancel this day when my kids are so excited about it, and it can't be rescheduled due to my daughter's busy schedule. So- with these injuries would you use a wheelchair? Keep in mind that I am heavy so I am sure if I do use the wheelchair I will be one of those peope that gets nasty looks...

Use the ECV. Even without the burns, I would tell you to use the ECV. I went to Disney with a cast on my foot due to stress fractures in my leg. Definitely use the ECV, that's what they are there for. It's there to make YOUR day enjoyable. Forget what others are going to think. Yes they will give you looks, but so what, it's about making the day enjoyable for you and your family.

Now about making it easy for yourself.

My best advice with the ECVs is to talk to the CMs working the lines at each attraction and tell them your situation. They'll give you direction as to what you need to do for each attraction with the ECV.

Are you really looking for some kind of validation here? If everyone on here said "NO, do not use a wheelchair." and you were still in pain on Monday, would you get one? If you somehow were painfree by Monday and all on here said " you should get one and use it.", would you?

You know how you feel and what you will be capable of, why does anyone else's opinion matter? And who cares what some folks might think and /or say at the parks.

I say rent a scooter.
Don't worry what people think but get a shirt that says "eat my pixie dust".

We got bad stares and looks at retail stores when we used the stork parking when the old lady just had the small baby bump and could hide it. People will aways talk but if you are doing it for a honest reason then tell them to have a Coke and a smile and shut the ... up.

My hubby so loathes those looks that even the day before my son was born he wouldn't let me use the stork parking! I just wanted to as a way of saying, "woo hoo baby on board!" Oh well!
