With all this great new technology, restoring and a refurbished earth barge they could have themselves an epic show if they were going to bring in a Reflections of Earth 2.0. More fireworks, imagery beyond the globe Reflections of Earth will forever have so much potential.

I think this is a bit premature to even ask.
I do wish Illuminations Reflections of Earth could just stay since I love it but I understand that Disney feels its had a long enough run. I mean no other Epcot nighttime show lasted anywhere near 20 years.
I am also excited for Epcot Forever and I get the feeling I'm going to enjoy it more than Harmonious but I'll hold judgement until I see both and can compare.
I do think that if the new permanent show does not go over well Diusney could choose to bring back Epcot Forever or work on another incarnation of Illuminations.

As bummed as we are to have it end....we are kinda looking forward to new shows

We were on couch last night watching the live stream of last Illuminations.

I was very sad about Illuminations, but excited to see what Epcot Forever would bring. It was pretty disappointing so now I'm even more upset about Illuminations being replaced.
I’m afraid it only goes downhill from here. The music was nice but it was not well put together. They would have been better off doing a nalstalgic return of Illuminations 88 without the fountains and laser images.

I hope Harmonious is a great show. The Epcot Forever is not very good in my opinion. There is no story at all, just a collage of mostly Epcot music. The songs aren't stitched together very well, someone with experience in Goldwave could have done that work. The kindergarten karaoke version of just one spark was horrible. The edit of spread your golden wings was sloppy (and why get rid of "America"?). They wrap the show with music from Aladdin, how not very Epcotty. The show is very short and it just ends with the annoying child announcing the tag line and saying good night. The fireworks were not well timed. The lasers were more like a dance club show. Having said all of that, it is a place holder show, I wish they had done better but I guess they didn't have time so there you go and its better than having nothing for a year (I guess). If Harmonious is going to be another exercise in "synergy" schilling other Disney products (read: how can we sell more merch) then it will be sad. As long as I've lived in Orlando I've gone to see Illuminations and grab a bite to eat fairly regularly because it was uplifting. I doubt I will ever actually drive to Epcot for dinner and a show with Epcot Forever, it's just boring and very unimaginative.

Although the concept for Harmonious scares me Illuminations 25a plays The Circle of Life at the end and that didn’t last very long and we haven’t heard a Disney song in Epcot nighttime shows since then.
