Would you go out of your way to eat a CS meal at a Resort?

Art of Animation's food court is amazing and I must have the cheesy pesto bread as well as the Mongolian Grill Fish they serve for dinner. It's so good I see no problem leaving my own resort specifically to eat there.

Do you have a food court you must visit during your visit besides your own? What's so good about it?

No. I have gone out of my way for Signatures, and slightly out of my way for TS, but I don't think there is a single CS in any of the parks or resorts I would go out of my way for.

I will go out of my way at Epcot when I'm in the mood for Chinese, Japanese, or French food, depending on my mood.
I really enjoy the Pot Roast and Beignets at French Quarter, and so will go out of my way to get that. I will also wait in a 30 minute line for Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom, although Harbor House is good too.
I usually have a plan for my day and have my favorites in mine when I schedule my day, but sometimes I get a hankering for some Orange Chicken!

Yes I have! for Captain Cook's... During my solo 2012 May trip, I felt I had to visit the Poly. It's my main home resort when we go on our Easter family vacations. Since I was solo, I was staying at the Pop and felt I could not go on a Disney trip and not at leave visit the resort. I decided to go at night to see the fireworks but of course, I couldn't do it for free. So I popped into Captain Cook's and got the Hawaiian flatbread. Something I have never tried before and it was yummy. Ok, so maybe I didn't go out of my way specifically for the food, but I did plan on having dinner there...so I guess it counts :)

Me too, I have never visited WDW and not stopped at the POLY and grabbed something from Captain Cook's. It is probably my favorite QS. I love the nachos too. Or a dole whip ice cream for dessert.

lol, yes, I had a dole whip too. I sat out at a table and chatted with a married couple while waiting for the fireworks. I do love that place. I love the QS there because it's intimate and not so crowded and busy. Just enough food there to have variety but not so much that it takes you an hour to decide what you want. The layout is great and then to be able to sit right outside to a view of the castle can't be beat.

I've done that too. Landscape of Flavors is just a remarkable spot. Plus, I managed to see one of the famed Art of Animation "flash mobs".

I'll admit I've never tried Captain Cook's but it seems worth a visit!

When Landscape of Flavors were announced and DFB reviewed the cheesy pesto bread I made a promise to myself to eat it as least once to see what the hype was all about. Really bad decision because now it's on my must-do it every trip list. I don't care if getting there is kind of a pain, all I know is that I must eat that delicious cheesy bread.

Wouldn't hesitate if there was something in particular I wanted. But we usually have a rental car so travelling between resorts isn't a huge hassle.

The most out of my way that I will go is if I'm staying at BCV pr BWV and walk over to either BC or Boardwalk bakery for food. For TS, absolutely. Last trip we stayed at Pop, but went to Kona at Poly twice for breakfast and once for dinner, Cape May at BC once for dinner, and Boma at AKL once. Kona for breakfast I highly recommend. It's not at all pricey, and you can share an entrée.

Yes I have - Captain Cooks for Adult Grilled Cheese and Aloha pulled pork with POLY CHIPS. I've gone back just to get an order of Poly Chips (I was staying at Bay Lake Tower so it wasn't totally crazy - just a monorail ride away)

I think going to the QS on the monorail resorts is easier because it's so close to MK - If I'm taking a break from MK or heading to EPCOT then I'd stop at a monorail resort for CS if I felt the need.

And now I'm currently feeling the need for Poly Chips!

In general we do not go out of our way for counter service. The exception being one time we woke up really early so we decided to head to Captain Cooks to try tonga toast, as we had never had it before and we knew we would still have lots of time to make it to MK at opening. It was okay, but not really worth a side trip in the future for it.
