Would you enjoy visiting Disney more if money was no object?

Well, I would probably book a stay at each one of the resorts for a night or two, just to say that I have stayed at them all. That trip would probably drive my DH nuts, so I think that would be fun to do with my DSIL. We would be wintering in the south in a custom designed motor home so there would be an extended stay at FWC with our own golf cart. We would be able to check out each of the different festivals planned each year. Yearly annual passes for the family. I would probably do each one of the tours at least once. Lots of TS meals.

I guess my question to you would be: is money no object to just me or is money no object now to everyone? If it was cheap/free for everyone, then no, it would not be more enjoyable because it would be crazy crowded!

For me, I guess the easy answer is yes because who likes ot give away their money? But, in reality, sometimes the best part is knowing you've earned this vacation. This was not something on a whim or an easy night-out to eat dinner. This was something you fought for and saved for and really prioritized over other things. I take a lot of pride in the fact that I sacrifice to make this a possibility for my family and not everyone gets to experience this. It's hard to do year in and year out. I'm not saying I wouldn't love Disney just as much if it were easy for me to do. It's just that I would miss the feeling of pride I get when I make that last payment knowing I worked hard for this.

If I had unlimited funds?

1) Length of stay would be longer (this is assuming that since now that we are independently weathly, the wife and I no longer have to schedule vacations around jobs)

2) We would take more of the tours.

3) Family and friends would be invited - on us. Some of the best trips I have had were with family and friends. I hsoted my brother's family and my best friends with us in my DVC unit once, and in 2014 we plan on having my wife's parents with us. There would be a lot more trips like that if I had the money (DVC points) to host people more often.

4) On the transportation side - no more driving myself to the airport. $150 each way for car service - sure thing. Oh, and those would be first class airline tickets for sure.

Other than the above, not much would change. We are happy with the parks, and we tend to automaticaly spend within our means. We rarely say "oh, I wish I could affort that" but on the other hand, we don't go spending wads of cash when we are there (comparatively, it is WDW after all)

Hey Mergatroid, if money was no object I would..... And I'm thinking of the extreme, I have more money than I could possibly ever spend then I would:

Plan a long trip and stay at EVERY WDW resort during which I would:

Take part in EVERY behind the scenes tour,

Dine at EVERY restaurant

Plus eat as many Cupcakes as possible, ......hang on, I do that one already!!!! ;)

That should take a few months I think! But then I'll be retired so who cares!

Oh to dream! :(

Our income has changed drastically since we could first afford to take our kids in 05. We changed our habits only slightly. Like now we always stay at the deluxe resorts, eat anywhere we choose, where in the past it was always All Star and grocery store food.
I enjoy some other things like the bass fishing and the wife likes the spas. I'm a simple creature really.

Heading for the great escape.
I am fairly new here and from reading some of your posts and responses I have figured out you have a sarcastic sense of humor (not saying that is bad...just saying) but when I i read your reply and looked who wrote it i noticed that under your name it doesn't say "active member" or "well-known" it says "just plain nasty" now that made me actually laugh out loud. :D

me, sarcastic, heaven forbid.

I would do a few things differently. I would stay longer and would include part of the stay as a solo trip then have my family join me. I would always stay in a deluxe - either AKL or Beach which I have stayed at before but generally do moderates due to the cost difference.

I would probably do the same as far as meals go since I enjoy my one sit down meal a day for a relaxing experience with good food but I also like the quick service for the speed and I'm not too fussy so I don't mind (and in fact frequently really enjoy) my favourite quick service locations.

...and I would shop. I would shop and shop and shop. I would either have a large empty suitcase or I would ship things home. I limit my shopping for myself at Disney World to - 1 ring, 1 pair of earrings, 1 purse, 1 book and 1 piece of art. Those are the kinds of things I have come to realize give me the most pleasure and I actually use and appreciate most when I get home but if money were no object there would be no limits.

I would have enough Christmas ornaments to decorate at least 3 trees. I would have a full line of sweats, T's and hoodies which I wear when I work from home. I would have some kitchen utensils that I always thought were cute but were never on my "must have" list. I would get more artwork that I've always admired but get wide-eyed at the price tags.

I assume if money were no object I'd be living in a larger house so it should be adequate to store all my Disney stuff. :D

Assuming you're not already a multi millonaire and that you suddenly became one, would it make your trips to Disney that much better? What things if any, would you do at Disney that you don't already due to the expense? Apart from staying in a suite in either the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian, I can't think of many things I'd do that differently to be honest. However if money was no object, how would you improve your Disney vacation?
I think I would do two weeks at the world and a trans Atlantic disney cruise .
