Would this be silly?

I don't think its silly at all! If you do decide to pack it remember to use bottled or filtered water since Floridas tap water is nasty! We always buy the huge tank of water from the grocery store when we stay at our villa so we have it for drinking and making coffee.

Great idea... Why didnt I think of it :banghead: ???? ( Must add this to my Disney packing list.) If more of us do it maybe Disney will get the idea and offer Keurig's in the rooms for us!!:geek: Hope... Hope.... I've gotten addicted to the one I gave my wife a few Christmas's ago. Now I use it more than she does.
The DVC rooms have coffee makers in them. You just have to find the packets which they use - since they don't use K-cups.

as a matter of fact, we are so silly, that even though we weren't driving down, we rented one last trip. i think it was garden grocer but it may have been a different food delivery service, but as long as we were getting groceries, we added on the keurig. (brought our own k-cup from home and used the coffee brand we like)

so if you are silly to just bring one in your car, what do you call us??

I call you wise and practical...both very good traits.

Uh, I bring my own water, electric water kettle, Disney mugs and bowls (what else), tea, cereal, milk, juice, fruit and snacks with us every trip so we can eat breakfast in our room and have a nice cup of tea in the evening. I have one bag permanently packed with all the utensils, etc., need for our trips. Then bring a Disney reusable bag with the food stuff and a cooler. Unpacking my car at the resort, it looks like we are moving in.

So I say, bring it!

I don't drink coffee, but my daughter's friend does and she said the coffee provided was yuck. The Lowes resorts at Uni have Keurigs in the rooms. So it can be done. And Disney, why so cheap and not have any coffee makers in the Value resorts rooms?

It would absolutely be silly and self-indulgent. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it! You're driving, you're on vacation - if that is going to make things more enjoyable for you, then go for it! Just be sure to pick up a case of bottled water so that Florida water doesn't contaminate your coffee. ;)

It's the ORLANDO tap water that is bad, not all of Florida water. I live in North Florida and we have great tap water from the Floridian aquifer.

I call you...BRILLIANT! I never even thought about the possibility of renting a Keurig. And on vacation, that might have been enough to convince us we really need one at home.

Just used my keurig myself. I love mine and if I thought I could make it arrive in Orlando safely, I would take it! Save money and enjoy your coffee!
