Would they know this yet?

We're hoping to be able to go next April. Easter next year is April 4, and we originally had hoped to arrive on our anniversary day, April 12. I always figured that peak season lasts through Easter, then drops back down to regular season the following week. And that's how it is this year, if I remember correctly. Easter is April 12 this year, and regular season begins the following week.

But when I called a couple weeks ago to ask a couple questions to get a ballpark figure of how much the room rates should be, the CM told me that the week of April 12 would still be in the middle of spring break and that regular season would start the following week.

Do they actually have the seasons drawn up already, or was that just her opinion based on how it always works? Based on what she said, we're now thinking of booking for the following week instead, so we can get regular season rates instead of peak season. Is it possible that she was just wrong and that the week of April 12 would be regular season?

School term dates are often available on-line here in the UK up to 18 months in advance - so its quite possible that the CM knows the dates.

On the other hand, its much better to find out that Disney were wrong and prices will be lower, than find out nearer the time (when you've made your arrangements) that Disney were wrong and its going to cost you more

It could take an hour or two of research on the internet, but you could look up the dates for the different rate seasons over the last several years to get a good idea of next year's rate seasons. Allearsnet.com is probably the best place to look. You can find older versions of the site in the internet archives at http://www.archive.org/web/web.php.
