Would Jiminy Cricket be a better host for Happily Ever After?

No he wouldn't. It's time to let go and get over the Wishes nostalgia. HEA is great the way it is now without some cricket chirping in
It has nothing to do with wishes, just feel like for the past 27 years is voice has been over the pa and I kind of miss it.

Disney wanted a total change up for HEA, which left Jiminy out. Thats understandable... but JIminy Cricket deserves some place in MK. Hes been the official Disney host since the beginning, a beloved character thats almost disappeared entirely from WDW. Hes more popular and continues to be sought out by more guests than some of the other characters that can be found out and about. I hope they find a place that he can continue to shine in some role of prominence. But I am biased.

I think HEA is pretty much perfect the way it is - and part of that is the voice of the narrator they use. I don't the narration would have the same impact in his voice.

That said, I certainly wouldn't mind him having a presence somewhere else in the parks. Perhaps as the host of the night time parade (if they ever have one!)

He was a perfect host for Spectromagic.

So as someone who is going to WDW in a couple of months my question is how is Happily Ever After compared to Wishes? I thought Wishes was excellent and blended the best nostalgic Disney songs that I could think of with great timing as well. "Magical" in Disneyland is similar that way. But is Happily Ever better? If so, why?
