worst time to visit the world

Any time there's a holiday or something (Spring Break, New Years Eve, Labor Day, etc.) the parks are extreemly crowded. Also, the summers are pretty hot and crowded. If you're from up North and are not use to the weather here in Florida, you will probably be miserable in the Summer. Personally, I love it in the Summer because I'm use to the climate and there usually isn't any attractions closed for long rehabs like there is in the off-season. I like December even better though because the crowds are lower and it's much more festive.

It seems the general agreement is that the worst times to go are when the park is jam packed with people, which would appear to be any time that the schools are on holiday.

So I always go during term time. This has always worked for me, apart from one day. I think it’s the third Thursday in June when the annual Gay Day descends on Magic Kingdom. I’m sure someone can verify the numbers, but I’m led to believe that an extra thirty thousand people go through the turnstiles on that day. I was there early in the day and the place was jammed with folk. However the other parks are OK as I think the event is centred on Magic Kingdom.

There may be other days where groups meet up, if so I’m sure someone here can fill us in.

I agree with the other posts, but I have one more time to add. Stay away when the cheerleaders are on property!

You got that right. In 2000 we stayed at The All Star Sports and the cheerleaders were there. It was terrible. We switched hotels with in two days because it was so bad my wife wanted to go home.

It's the first SATURDAY in June.

It was about six years ago when I was over. Where did I get Thursday from? I think I'm getting the calculation for your Thanksgiving day mixed into the equation

I have visited the world at various times of the year....as others have said leading up to Christmas and 4th of July week are to be avoided. When I was there for the 4th of July they had to close the Magic Kingdom as it was at full capacity!!!

My last holiday to the world was in September to celebrate my 20th birthday! This IMO is a great time of year to visit - temperatures are alot more bearable than July and August, crowds are non existent! The longest queue I experienced was for TOT and that was only 15 minutes. I walked straight onto Mission Space and Splash Mountain! It is also cheaper to visit at this time of year! Definitely the best time to go!!!!!!

Hope that helps

I previously stated that April is good, it's really good because some parts of the week Magic Kingdom is open until midnight, although my family wouldn't stay till 12 every night its still great, I even saw SpectroMagic! with those scary SpectroMen! at 10 at night, the best place to sit is right next to the rope right beyond the Main Street WDW Railroad station, but not right next to the station so your have clear view down mainstreet, when I was there no one sat their 'cause of the rope. CMs said that the floats cut corners some times so no one can sit in front of you and they enforce it!!
