Worst people to be in line next to?

People who have ridden something so many times, they feel it is their duty to narrate the attraction for you. The worst example I have ever seen of this is on Star Tours. My wife and I were seated behind these teenagers that quoted every. single. line. from the ride, verbatim. Loudly. No kidding, we could hear it over all the laser blasts, Artoo squeals, and explosions. It completely took us out of the experience. I mean, I'm jealous that you get to ride it enough that you have every experience memorized that well, but c'mon. If you're going to do that, do it quietly; don't ruin it for everyone else.

After posting in this thread several times, I realize... maybe I need to borrow some of that amazing luck @Goofyernmost has for my next trip. I'm sure you can spare some, can't you, Goofyer???

Btw, I created a new thread with an opposite topic to this one for fun: Best experiences in Line/On Rides
I already had a thread before, about people who do the Ghost Host spiel and it ruins it for first time riders!

Long time lurker who has enjoyed reading this discussion. Just have to chime-in with one of my personal annoyances: Open-Mouth Coughers! People cough, I get it. No problem. Some people even have chronic coughing issues due to allergies, asthma, or other health issues. Once again, I get it. No problem. But please PLEASE cover your mouth! Use your hand, the inside of your arm, a tissue, whatever it takes. But please cover your cough. (And teach your children the same courtesy). That is all.
Add to that people who chew with their mouths open.

I was at a show at Rockefeller Center. The lady behind me kept saying "oh did you see that (insert what happened on stage) it was amazing." She did that for the entire show. I wanted so bad to turn around during intermission and thank her for the Play-by-play.
I had this obnoxious loser behind me quoting everything from a YouTube video in Line from mission space. He was acting original but I told him a lot of people saw the video. He acted like nothing was taken until I used my phone and showed him the video. He was quite embarrassed.

What would you say? Why did you barf on my leg? You did that on purpose you swine? Do that again and I'm going to tell? o_O

I was replying to the potty in the bag comment. But if you really want to know, I'd probably tell them they were gross and public urination is against the law and to go to the restroom.

You're correct. I somehow got your reply confused with the barf on leg one. I apologize, there certainly is justification for saying something about the potty bag.

I guess I am kind of guilty of this but NOT in a loud, obnoxious way. I cant help myself when, in the HM, I talk along with Paul Frees in the portrait room.

Well, then I have no problem with you, as you can see above. It's the people that think everyone came to see THEM perform the famous lines and loudly, obnoxiously proclaim everything as if they're on Broadway or they were asked to fill in for the Ghost Host/whichever character's lines they're reading. :banghead: I must think of a fun/funny way to put a stop to these obnoxious turds. Hmm... maybe fight fire with fire?

"OH. MY. GOSH. That was SOOOOOOO perfect; you NAILED it! Can I hear you narrate it one more time? Maybe, if we ask, the Cast Member will let everyone go back in the stretching room so everyone can enjoy your dulcet tones. Seriously, Disney should hire you to replace Paul Frees as the Ghost Host. You're WAAAAAY better. I wonder how many people would want to download a mp3 of your version of the narration? Hmm. Can I have your autograph? I just KNOW you'll be famous one day..."

I'm sure every Disney fan, at some point, has done what you've mentioned and quietly spoken the lines under their breath or to themselves. I know I have. :)

People thinking I want to hear them loudly enjoying their food.

People discussing character costumes, like Mickey without head on etc etc. My children believe it IS Mickey. Think about the audience to your conversation. And no swearing.

People who are not tolerant of children in line for a ride aimed at small children, even if said children are well behaved.

Parents punishing their children in line. Take them out, no one wants to see you hit someone smaller than you just because you can. I get we are in a different country and respect your culture but where we are from we have child protection charities go into our schools to tell children hitting is bad and bullying. I appreciate the point of view of a swift swat, and I would sometimes love to shock my child when they are acting up even though I can't, but nobody wants to see you hit your child, especially my children.

Smokers (at DLP)

Backpack bullies from behind. Quit twirling and take a step back!

Prop touchers.

That is absolutely revolting. Nobody said anything? I would have had a very hard time biting my tongue if I'd been around; most likely I would have said something, much to the chagrin of my DW. People are gross.[/QUOTE It was for a show and we were ready to go in so I just moved away from them :)
