The Italian drink isn't too bad once you get used to it, and it's a great way to impress people. You can challenge people to take "shots" kinda like taking a shot of whiskey (or any other really strong alcoholic drink).

Im sure the Coke machine in Germany had 2 or 3 varieties of lift i dont remember Mezzo though.
The foul taste is the only reason its free. Mind you anything for free at Disneys amazing.

I agree Beverly is disgusting, it tastes like some kind of medicine. In Italy they drink it as an aperitif, meaning they drink it before heavy meals to aid in digestion. I like to take people who have never been in Ice Station before and have them taste Beverly and tell them it tastes great before they drink it and then see their face. Ha Ha :hurl: I think the best when is the apple"Lift" from Mexico. Maria, do they still sell this in Mexico?

the beverly (italy) is horrible. I think it's a joke, since every italian I have asked, said they never heard of it, prior to seeing it in WDW.

it's good for pranks though. :drevil:

I filled up a Sprite bottle w/ it and gave it to a friend to drink :fork:

Yes! We do drink "Manzana Lift" as a common bottled beverage... it´s really nice!

I can only remember the one from Germany because I liked it very much.
My italian friends said they had never heard of Beverly before Disney... hehe...

I hate the watermelon taste in beverages, but you can have one without gas in the Mexican Pavillion. I have no idea why they chose that fruit flavor though... it´s not like it is the most popular around the country!

Although I haven't been to Ice Station Cool yet, from what I've read so far, it sounds like a replica of the top floor fountain area at World of Coke in Atlanta--a.k.a. the Coca Cola Museum.

I've been to World of Coke twice and, if this is the same set-up, what you're getting at Ice Station Cool are Coca Cola Corporation products that are sold all over the world.

For the U.S. drinks, you can get Tab, Fresca, Mr. Pibb, and Mellow Yellow--stuff that we are hard-pressed to find in California.

But the international flavors are interesting. I like the Fanta products, mostly citrus flavors like Orange and Tangerine, particularly from Germany. Do they have those at Epcot?

And Beverly (the Italian apertif) is truly nasty stuff. We have photos and videos of several individual's first reactions to a sip--not surprisingly all grossed-out faces. I think this stuff is used for an Italian version of "Candid Camera."

My kids love World of Coke. We have family in Atlanta who are ironically joining us for our upcoming WDW trip and we're all looking forward to getting free Coke products at Epcot. Hey, it beats paying $3.50 for a half litre bottle, doesn't it?

We have Fresca and Fanta here too! I find Fanta too sweet though... There is another brand made by Coke for my region of the country, called "Cristal" and it comes in different flavors, the best one in my opinion, being our version of "cream soda"... I LOVE IT! :slurp:

I agree, Beverly is the worst. My favorite is probably Mezzo Mix... but most of them are okay, besides Beverly! :sohappy:
