How does one become a cast member at World Showcase? I understand the International College Programme, but I am past college age now, and surely they don't only employ college students in all the shops and restaurants...

Any tips would be most welcome!

Not sure. I was custodial in World Showcase for a year through Career Start, AND I DON'T SUGGEST YOU DOING THAT, OR GOING INTO CUSTODIAL AT ALL IN WORLD SHOWCASE.

I am sure though, if you ask for a specific restaurant or shop, they may have room. You also may not want MOUSE GEAR, for it's always a zoo in there...

Thanks for the info :)

The main thing I was thinking is that most of WS CMs are from overseas, and so Disney must sort out all the relevant Visas, etc... I wondered if they recruit in the relevant countries - If anyone from UK, France, China etc has worked there then please do pipe up!

Yes. Most of the WS CMs are overseas. Not sure about Visas (I do know, ICP is a little different from CP - and it goes according to the school, as well as how long you can stay in America for).

I also know some that were from other countries, and decided to stay in Disney (relocate).

Not sure what you are asking - or if you understand World Showcase. But in the country, say, Mexico - everyone is from Mexico. Norway - Norwegians. You get the point.

Thanks for your response. I am British, and would love to work in the UK area in Epcot, or indeed anywhere at the World, but I figured this would be the best place to start due to Visa issues - i.e. everyone at the UK pavillion must have had some kind of recruitment process different to, say, someone who worked in Futureworld, or anywhere else in the World.

I just wondered really how that recruitment process worked, as I can only find application routes for American CMs and the CP and IC.

They love ICP participants, so I'd assume most all their focus is on them. They pay them next to nothing and then get half of it back in housing fees. Gotta love it.

People in the UK pavillion, the one which you would be qualified for, get a 1 year work visa. Some can be for longer. You come for a year, work and then go home. A lot of people in WSC are not in the International College Program, but rather just the international program.
