We love to visit the shops of the countries at WS in Epcot. So do you have a favourite one? In past visits we have purchased Souvenirs from China and America but curious as ever to what your favourite is and why.?

It's not my favourite shop but I had the most fun in the shop in 'Canada', during my last visit in 2010 we watched a CM chasing 2 ducks that had walked into the shop, they refused to leave and had the lady running in circles!!! It took over 5 mins for them to go! I have since heard the ducks have refused to spend anymore money in that shop! They have also blacklisted 'China' after being chased around Nine Dragons Restaurant with a meat cleaver! :drevil:

I love to browse all the shops, but in April my husband wanted to purchase a favorite men's cologne in France. Unfortunately, it had been "discontinued" so he decided on another. The CM, a very nice young man who told us it was his "2nd day", somehow locked the transaction before it was completed. We had to wait a considerable length of time for a manager to complete her transaction with others before helping us. Because of this, she had one of the CM's go upstairs and bring down the almost full tester of the discontinued cologne to GIVE to my husband!.

THEN we headed to Boulangerie Patisserie for "eats" prior to Illuminations!

1 - Easily the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Japan.

2 - I always find something I want in the AA shop.

3 - Galerie Des Halles in France, and whatever-their-shop-is-called in Canada.

Several years ago we found a very nice dish set on sale in the Japan pavilion. It consisted of 12 complete place settings of china with a total of 72 pieces. We purchased the set and they shipped it for free to our home address. The box was delivered to our home about a week later. Unfortunately, upon opening the box, we discovered that all the items were shattered beyond repair.

I got on the phone and called the Japan pavilion at Epcot and explained the situation. They shipped out a complete new set to us at no charge. The second set arrived in perfect condition. The customer service was excellent. I reported the problem and they acted immediately to correct the situation.

Did I mention that Japan is my favorite pavilion at Epcot?

China and Morocco.

China because the store is huge and there is so much stuff there that I would actually use!

Morocco, of course, because it is beautiful! I once thought of buying a dress from there, but changed my mind at the last minute. I'm not sure where I would wear it!

The UK shops are my favorites. I'm always tempted to buy some football/soccer gear but have yet to pull the trigger. Mostly cause I can find it cheaper online.

We had a room added to our house and the entire room is knotty pine, we live out in the words so it works for us. On one trip to WDW while we were in the store in Canada we saw the stuffed bear and moose heads and had to have them. They hang in our game room with a black powder rifle hanging right below them. Our friends tease and ask if we used that gun to shot the animals.

My son would say Japan, hands down, but as silly as it sounds, I go to every shop in every country, and wind up with something, that way, I can say I've shopped the entire world!! (A statement that scares the bejesus out of my DH) Plus, we have collected some wonderful keepsakes over the years

I really enjoy browsing in all of the shops but tend not to spend a lot of money. However, I don't recall any trip out of the last 7 or 8 when I didn't buy something in Japan.

My last trip I picked up a purse and wallet from the Shinzi Katoh cllection and I love them! I'm thinking of getting one of the lunch bags next trip.

My Halloween costume last year was a Giesha - got the kimono from there with a fan. I picked my niece up some Anime books that she loves. My mom got a gardening book and ended up creating a beautiful "Zen" garden in her backyard - nothing like seeing raked sand and a fish pond with a little waterfall, bridge and bonsai trees in rural Nova Scotia.

I seem to be able to find something for everyone there.

Germany - Between steins, glassware, and Christmas ornament's, i find something most of the time.

I like Japan, but hate the markup. The is a Japanese mall nearby, that is almost twice the size of the store in EPCOT. I love to look around in EPCOT Japan, but rarely buy anything because I can get it cheaper and without having to drag it on the plane back home. Sometimes I will see something small / cheap at EPOCT Japan, and then I buy it.

Always buy something from:
Germany - Purchase the glassware which gets personalized with the family names or initials. I also have a collection of the medieval knights figurines which get added to each trip.
United Kingdom - I always add to my sword collection. We buy Beatles gifts for a friend who's crazy about them.
Other shops usually see some of our money on impulse shopping.

Mitsuwa by chance? I LOVE making a trip there once a month or so.

Of course I love looking around Mitsukoshi in Japan but I think Mexico is #1 due to the atmosphere. Since they've started carrying super cute Three Caballeros merch, I really enjoy browsing. The Twinnings store in the UK pavilion is up there too since I'm a big tea fan.
