World Showcase Restaurants

For our last few trips to WDW (EPCOT in particular), we ate at Mexico and Norway. There is no question that they are great places to eat, but what other places in World Showcase would you recommend?

Meega, nala kwishta!
We love most of them, but haven't done them all.The ones we like to do when we are there for lunch or dinner are:

Chefs de France
Rose and Crown
Nine Dragons
Le Cellier
Alfredo's
Mexico

But I will agree that Le Cellier's steaks are over rated, and we don't care for the "packed in like a sardine" feeling in Alfredo's.

I always look forward to Fish and Chips and Rose and Crown. :slurp:

And a little off subject, but don't forget about Garden Grill at The Land. And a short walk away...

Alfredo's not as good as Olive Garden??? I guess we don't like authentic Italian food... we like American Italian food!! (bread it, deep fry it, and smother it in marinara sauce... that's Italian!!) I love Alfredo's - it ain't a trip to Disney without Alfredo's!! We also absolutely must do Mexico... again, probably not what you expect because it's authentic. (No fajitas?!) We also really like Japan, my dad in law loves sushi... they get that there. Did Germany once... not my thing, but it was pretty good. Kinda heavy. I want to start trying some new ones each time... expand my horizons!! Push my envelope!! (No, I'm not particularly daring.)

You better believe I like the American Italian food!! Hardcore Italian food is too "italian" for me. As a Norwegian/German, real Italian jsut is not for me. Sorry.

No apologies needed!! I totally understand.. my parents are the same way! But you had to have at least liked the fettucinni alfredo... didn't you? It is an absolute good... nobody is immune to its charms! (Yes, it's a line from spongebob, for all the spongebob fans!!) I actually love Olive Garden... but Alfredo's.. paradise to me. I think I came out with one less functioning artery last time!!

Definately! Have you ever had pizza in Italy? It's literally bread with chunks of tomatoes thrown on it, with sproatic pieces of cheese! lol..
And dont get me started on the way they serve dinner over there.. hehe.. last time i went, they do not give you butter with your bread, even if you ask for it. Also they wont give you the next course, without you totally finishing the first one. AND they give you salad AFTER the meal! What's that!? haha.. i shoudnt complain.. im 100% italian and love it..
It's just not the American way that we are used to.

It's all the cheese that I cannot stand! I hate cheese (except for white-american, hahaha) The pizza in Italy Pav. is good b/c of the tomato usage... where I live on the Jersey Shore, a pizza is called a "tomato pie." My favorite dish form Alfredo--spaghetti and meatballs!!

Best meal is steak satueed in pineapple juices!! woohoo Japan!

You guys!! Cracking me up... when we were there, we were on a "plan".. I forget which one.. a good one.. and the waiters LOVE you for it!! They waited for no plates to be cleared!! Just brought plate after plate... and about the cheese... we ordered that thing where it's the fresh mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil w/ a bit of olive oil drizzled over top *MM drools* soooooooooo yummy, but my mother in law refused to eat the "watery cheese." She's so from the midwest!!

I have to say....

I'm shocked by all the Morrocan Restaurant raves!

We ate there on our last trip, but obviously ordered the wrong stuff!

I shall return to the place again with an open mind and try again!

Any menu items to suggest????

In 1998 I had something that involved lamb with an apple and cinammon sauce/dressing which was quite nice but dont try the morrocan wine it is foul!
