It is hard to ignore the drastic increase over the last decade. ECVs and strollers.

I wouldn't lump them together as you have. What has changed for the ECVs is the cost and availability making what was once impossible for some, possible. I won't get into the stroller discussion, it's a morass of competing values.

Definitely the main factor is the ease of renting one now
