Yea This rendering was in the Stockholders report some time in the late 70s. The one thing is that I have never seen the original model upclose like that and as I was looking at the model and knowing where it was to be located in relationship to the existing area around the TTC . where the dual beam of the Monorail ROW was to be heading. Two thoughts were 1) Future World was to have been where EPCOT is today, or 2) it was heading along a ROW that was yet to be developed going to LBVSV now DTD. I speculate on number 2 since recently was posted a picture of a model that showed the Hotel plaza and LBVSV area with a network of beams crossing the area

what you see is world showcase and the monorail would have went to EPCOT. i'll have mor photos later in the week.

Just be careful what you post...a couple of those pics are in the imagineering and architecture books and might have been copyrighted

Ya know. The more I think about it this was probably designed with the original master plan in mind with the Monorail ROW that was to start at MK and go to the original E.P.C.O.T. and end at the Airport just south of 192

I'll take OUR World Showcase anyday...that one looks small...and very plain.

Freek if you can think of it in scale the WS in the model is larger than the WS at EPCOT if you strech the two buildings out.

Actually, I see what you mean...even though it's in perspective, to look at it compared to the size of the Magic Kingdom, it is rather large...but I still prefer the look of the "countries" that the actual World Showcase has. The model looks like an outdoor shopping mall with a nice plaza area.
