World Showcase - Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who thinks that the World Showcase is great the way it is? When talks about improvements or expansions are mentioned, adding countries seems to be at the top of a lot of people's list. I have to be honest, personally, I would think it would be a serious waste of money and resources to add anything there. I think it is one part of EPCOT that they actually did right. I would love to see all the other parks (lookin' at you HS) get huge revamps before even thinking about adding a country. Just wanted to get some thoughts on it.

I think World Showcase is really wonderful. It's my favorite part of Epcot.

But I'd still love to see Ireland added to it. And a Yellow Submarine dark ride added to Britain. :)

WS is the best part of Epcot, but it wouldn't hurt to add a couple more attractions. And I don't mean thrill rides. I like the boat rides in Mexico and Norway. They fit the atmosphere perfectly. Rides like that would be great in a few more countries.

I'm with you. After hanging out there last week, and walking around at night for the first time (EMH) on Thursday, I realized how much I really like WS as-is.

Granted, I wouldn't mind if they finally put in Germany's or Japan's attractions, but I think adding more countries might make it a bit crowded feeling. Everything is spaced out very comfortably right now.

Just my opinion though. Other than a couple of voids in Future World, I'd say Epcot is "complete enough" for now. I just want them to put any extra money into DHS and AK at this point.

I love the World Showcase, but I wouldn't mind some small improvements here and there. Nothing too too particular. Except I think that African Outpost could use some revamping; or either a total new pavilion could be put there. I think that Africa is already very well represented in Animal Kingdom.

I think they could add a country. There is a big space where the Outpost is where there really is nothing.

Other than that, I wouldn't change anything.

I was there on Thursday also.

I think it is perfect. But am I the only one who wants Greece to be added. Nothing would be better than walking around and eating gyros

I want Greece as well, but before that how about a boat ride at Italy. It could be through the Venice waterways. I always thought this could be an incredible attraction with accurate details and everything, it would fit right into Italy. Maybe have a small part of the attraction come by the courtyard in Italy, so that people could see the ride like Small World at Disneyland. Maybe I am the only one, but i think this has incredible amounts of potential.

I see no real need for a new country added as I do not believe it would bring in more people into the park compared to a new ride. I have seen wait lines for soarn over an hour long but have never seen a line to go into a showcase pavillian. Yes the different food choices are nice and I am sure they make good money on dining at each country but the gift shops are now outdated as you can go online and order goods from almost anyplace on earth that you could not do in the 80's when worldshowcase opened. I do not also see a new country will an E ticket ride being built in it as it would be cheaper to build the ride as a stand alone attraction and not try to theme it to match the rest of the world showcase

Although I do like the WS now, I think new countries wouldn't be horrible. Honestly, there are so many cultures not represented in the "world" showcase. Also, I think each countries attractions could be better represented as far as postings and advertising.

I would love to see Ireland. Ireland has alot of entertainment possibilities. River dancing, 360 movie of the country, music, etc

Love the World Showcase, but wouldn't mind seeing some updates/minor additions made.

For instance, there's nothing to draw us into Morrocco: We don't like the food and the stores are kitschy stereotypical tourist junk...so we admire the buildings as we walk by. I just think some of the countries need something to draw you in to spend more time in their area, other than the shops which are mostly filled with junk.

World Showcase can stay as it is. Epcot, and really MK(especially after the FLE) are fine.

Put the extra money in DHS & ESPECIALLY DAK!!
