I remember reading a post from someone who said that they did a world beer tour at Epcot. Does Epcot have any official program designed to sample world beers at the different country showcases?:slurp:

During the Food and Wine Festival (starting soon), there's a Beers of the World showcase and a Sam Adams tasting, and during that time almost every country with a food kiosk will have a beer from that country (for sale).

Other than that, I don't think there's an "official program" per se. That said, the beer schools are great (if you're a beer drinker), but fill up quickly; so if you're going, go early. Have fun.

Beers around the world pretty much is walking from one end of the world pavilion in EPCOT to the other having a beer in each country you reach. Believe me (as someone who has tried this) that it is not an easy task :)lol: ). Just make sure should you attempt it to not drive to the park cause chances are after 14 some odd beers you shouldnt be behind the wheel afterwards. Have someone with u whos not gonna drink.

 This is a noble endeavour indeed. I have done this with my brother. I have not made it all around the world, feeling that the Disney Experience could be lost in the drunken haze that would follow after a 12-pack of beer. This is where people must be able to use their better judgement. As much as drinking like a fiend can be fun, you have to realize where you are and that not everyone in that park is on the same mission as you. *chuckles* Unfortunately, I have seen many a "younger" people, just barely of drinking age taking it to the extreme and stumbling through the World Showcase. Let's just say I was not impressed.

That being said, it is a fun experience to try all the beers from around the world, and the ones from Morocco will put hair on your chest (if it is not there already).

But I have digressed from the question first posed. I know of no official program for this. Like someone before me mentioned, when the Food and Wine Festival comes around they do have brochures letting you know what foods/beers/wines are in each country, but that is all I know of.

:slurp: Thanks for the replies and the encouragement. Here's a couple of thoughts:

1. My designated driver is the Disney bus driver!

2. I thought of enlisting my wife (who also enjoys a cold brew) to help. We can buy one beer in each country and split it. Just keep an extra cup. That way we can sample many more in half portions.:slurp:

Wouldn't it be great if you could buy a voucher card, for about $10, then get a small sample glass of beer at each country. If you ever go to a brewery like the one at The Boardwalk Resort and order a sampler, I'm picturing a glass about that size.
Heck, if enough people write to Disney, i bet they would offer this!

Good idea. Like a beer festival that pours samples. Of course, this being Disney, you are probably off quite a bit with a $10 card -- probably closer to $40 or $50. With the "free" dining, Disney has been offering trades to people who give up a dinner; if beer was part of the deaL, they might be able to make a few more trades!

I don't get the whole drinking around the world thing.
Get drunk at home...it's much cheaper.
You'll save a lot of money that you could use later for rehab.

I think the "sampler" at the Big River brewery was about 8 bucks for nine samples, so maybe more like $15 for eleven? I'm not talking about pints here, just those little "juice" glasses.

Hey Scooter -- I'll take it that the "rehab" remark is your sense of humor. Yes, it's true, I enjoy adult beverages, but responsibly! I have no intentions or desire to get drunk. I would prefer sampling small quantities of the world's beers just to try something unusual. I also plan on eating different types of food while touring the countries. Hopefully, I won't have to go into "rehab" to loose weight after the trip.
