Get this.
I have to do a presentation Thu. AM.
I'm flying down tomorrow AM in a small plane as an IFR lesson.
I figure about 8 hrs down, if leaving around 10am, that gets me to Daytona(where the work is) with a less than 2 hr. drive to WDW.

I have whatever time on Tue. Eve. and all day/night Wed. for WDW.

I'll be fine with the 2 hr. drive back. Wed. night. to get ready for work the next day.

My brother and his family are at WLV this week.

My kids don't know I'm going to Disney for a day. My wife knows, though.
We are not telling the kids. Let's just say it would be bad move.

Cool! I'm in Daytona! I'm assuming the work is Embry Riddle related, as many things are.

The trip is more like 90 minutes, but plan for 2 hours. A bit of advise, if you find Belville Road in Daytona, it turns into I4 not to far from the Speedway. If you need any road directions or anything, feel free to PM me!

To conference or not to conference

This past July I attended a conference in Pittsburg, PA with my boss. While traveling to this conference, in passing, I mentioned an upcomming trade show and conference scheduled for the end of January, 2007 at the Wyndham in Orlando. A few days later during a conversation, out of the blue he said that I should look into attending this conference. I will be at WDW with my family for a week at the beginning of the month. My daughter will be on break from college, but we'll have to take my son out of school for a week during his senior year of high school when we go for our vacation in early January. Even though I love it at WDW, I just can't see myself walking around without my family just a week later. Even though this is the perfect oportunity to do so, I think I'll pass on my bosses offer. Am I crazy or what?:hammer:

I've passed up chances to go to WDW by myself while in Orlando on business. Most of my enjoyment there is from giving my kids a good time. I look for opportunities to take the family with me to a conference there.
