Just paid our deposit on an October 2014 trip. I had to share with someone and my husband isnt answering the phone and my best Disney Addict friend worked 3rd last night so she is sleeping. Can't post it on Facebook because I dont want certain people to see or they will want to plan to go with us and we are not doing that group thing again!
So I am more than a little excited even if it is 379 days away!!! I knew that y'all would understand!
I can hardly wait to go to the MNSSHP and see MK all decked out for fall/halloween!!!

YEAH!!!! Now you have 379 days to plan plan plan!! It will go a lot faster than you think. We went to the MNSSHP on our last trip and I just loved it. I still sing Boo To You all year long. We are going this December so we will miss all the Halloween decorations and I'm a little bummed about that but this will be our first Christmas experience so yeah me!

That's great!! And LOL that you knew where to come to find understanding!

I share your excitement, I've just booked Bay Lake Tower for 3 days in February and am in the process of finalizing a cruise on the Disney Dream for the second half of the week. :D

Maybe it's just me, but I'd be much more excited about the Christmas decorations than Halloween. I've seen them both, and Halloween are definitely nice, but Christmas decs are spectacular!

I've heard its spectacular! Very excited to see all the decorations! Do you have any idea's of where you want to eat? Where are you staying?!!
We are booked at POR, Royal Standard Room.
We have only been once before so there are a lot of restaurants on our list that we would like to try. One thing that we learned from our last trip is that we arent crazy about stopping what we are doing to make it to dinner reservations, so we will probably do more TS breakfasts this time around and do QS for dinner. With that said we are looking at
Crystal Palace--Breakfasat
Chef Mickeys--Breakfast
BOG--Early dinner (on the night we do MNSSHP)
Ohana's-Dinner (because we loved it the last time so it is a must)
? Akershus-Breakfast
? 1900 Park Fare-Breakfast
? Ohana's-Breakfast

The ones with a question mark we aren't really sure about about the ones without are pretty much a definite as long as we can get reservations.
Is there a good Breakfast place in AK? Something other than Tusker House. We went to Tusker House last time and would like to do something different this trip.

We have only been to Disney one time and it was back in June. I have been doing searches for different vacations since we left there (literally on the car ride home). We stayed at All Star Movies and were very happy there. Just wanted to try a moderate this time and I really like the looks of POR. I think that my son will like the pool better too because of the water slide. Since we hope to have more time for relaxing and enjoying our resort this time I felt like it would be worth the extra money we spend. Have you ever stayed in one of the Royal Rooms? How is the TS restaurant there...Boatwrights, I believe it's called? Have you tried any of the restauants I mentioned...if so, what are your thoughts?
Oh! I forgot to add Yak and Yeti to the list....We really want to try that one too...probably for lunch one day.

And I love the planning too....that's part of the fun for me! So it totally doesnt bother me that I have over a year before our trip. All the more time to plan, watch youtube videos, research, make Disney shirts, read my Disney guide, re-plan and plan some more. Who knows I might even get motivated by this trip to lose 20 lbs and get started on an exercise program so that I can get into Disney shape.

We stayed there in 2006 so a little bit has changed. We haven't stayed in the royal rooms (there are 5 in our family) we stay in the alligator bayou which we love. All the paths and walkways are so beautiful. I know a few on here have said staying at a moderate/deluxe is a waste because your at the resort only to sleep but I love love love the atmosphere. Boatwrights was wonderful when we went in 06'. Hopefully it hasn't changed because I plan on eating there again.
We have reservations at Ohana and it will be our first visit there. We have been to chef mickeys, 1900 and CP but all for dinner. 1900 for dinner has been one of my favorites for dinner because of the step sisters. I think they only are at the dinner not breakfast. I always recommend Garden Grill for the experience but you would prob need a reservation.

We ate at Garden Grill in June and loved it! We will probably do more snacking at Epcot this time around since our stay will coincide with the Food and Wine Festival. If not for that I would love to go to Tepan Edo.
I would love to see the Step Sisters, but you are right they are there for dinner. Mary Poppins/Alice are there for breakfast.
Not sure yet how we will do the parks. I love MK...It is my favorite, so we will spend more than one day there for sure. I'm thinking a day at AK, only 1/2 a day or less at HS and a day to a day and a half in Epcot. We barely scratched the surface of Epcot in June. We were so new and confused...dining reservations and fast passes messed us up that day. With the exception of a few rides HS didn't appeal to us too terribly much. We will probably plan a morning at the resort and go to HS for a late lunch early dinner that day to do the few rides and maybe catch Fantasmic. It was cancelled when we were there last because of a storm. But MK...I could spend a week in that park alone.
I have noticed that several of the places I want to eat are either in MK or you have to go to MK and then catch a ride from there to the restaurant. That kind of concerns me because I think the best plan is to eat in or around the park you plan to be in that day. I'll figure it all out.

This is our 4th visit and we still haven't seen all that there is. My hopes are to go on Tom Sawyer Island, see hall of presidents and the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki room. :D At AK i want to see flights of wonder. And my Husbands goal is try a beer in every country at Epcot. I may have to get a stroller for him. He may have to do it over the span of a few nights...i don't want to get kicked out of Disney  Everyone in our family picked a TS and my daughter picked Teppen Edo. I've heard some mixed reviews but were going to try it anyway.

I can imagine how excited you are. We started planning this coming trip last November/December. It went pretty fast and these next couple months will go even faster with the kids's school activities to keep us busy.

I would definitely recommend Akershus for breakfast! It was a great experience & the food was pretty good! Chef Mickey's is fun but, the food is just meh. We think that O'hana is the best!
