Have they run into a problem with the roof work here? It seems like it got to about this same point a bit ago and halted.

Doctor Strange like Antman is now churning out sequels. I wonder if the chances of the IP becoming a greenlit project for WoL or an attraction elsewhere are much greater now that it has proven itself capable of being a bankable franchise. Of all the Marvel IPs; DS seems to be the most malleable IP. The character and storyline can fit any number of ride types and locales. If not WoL Pavillion maybe he'll pop up somewhere else.
Two words: Benedict Cumberbatch and Evangeline Lilly.

I can see it happening some day.. if universal decides they would rather use the marvel space for something else (although keeping Disney from building and the glut of new land they now own make this less likely) or if they trade rights to something else.. (no idea what that might be)

Futurama, the Simpsons and Family guy seem like somebody else could use better than Disney...

That's where they're going to punch out an opening for a corridor to an even bigger gravity building for the Fox-acquired Percy Jackson roller coaster.

Looks like where the big "M" for Marvel will go...

I think they can do a lot with a 'small' space, should they choose to do so. It helps they basically have a building already up that can be used as the entrance. Let's not forget that. (Whoops, not the space restaurant thread, but it was being brought up ...)

Haven’t been keeping up here lately but just got back from a 2 week trip. I was in line at Slinky Dog Dash and thought I was speaking to a fan like myself and mentioned that I thought I saw WDI over at WoL when I was at Epcot taking pictures over there. I said I had heard on WDW Magic they were planning an attraction and she smiled and said “you are correct”. I asked how she knew and all she would say is that she does consulting for Disney and has knowledge of what they are working on. I didn’t push any further so I am obviously not a good insider. Thought it was worth noting and better than a bus driver. Side note...they need to raise prices for international travelers (Brazilian tour groups in particular) cast members are taking the brunt of all the communication issues and making their jobs really difficult in the heat of July. Just felt bad for a lot of CM’s this trip more than any other I can remember.

I am not discrediting what this lady said and I really hope she is right. But as a local who is at the parks often, I have encountered plenty of Know it all's in lines before. I have heard it all from 5th gate certainties to where Walt is buried on property. Just be careful before getting too excited over what you hear from a queue "insider". ;)

I agree with what you are saying...she seemed genuine and I could tell she didn't want to talk any further on details so it felt legit. Not saying it is but since it is a news & rumor thread I felt like it was worth a post. I know the glacial pace Disney goes at so I am not getting overly excited but I am hopeful like you that the building gets used for a real purpose other than festivals.
