Wonderland Cafe DTD

Take it you don't need a reservation for Wonderland Cafe in DTD do you (at the Disney Quest bit).

Hubby & I ate at Cheesecake Factory in one of the Malls last year and it was amazing and we promised the kids we would take them for Cheesecake this year (we did a take out for them last year) and we were thinking of going there on the day we arrive as we will get to AKL about 5pm ish but probably won't really want a proper meal (never do with jet lag from the UK and stuff) but a nice walk about to stretch our legs and then some cheesecake will be just the thing!

That's cool as we have that on our Premium tickets - it's the only Cheesecake Factory place on Disney isn't it?

It's not really a "cheesecake factory" as you would know it. It's moreso a series of quick-service counters that have food - and besides being sponsored or owned by cheesecake factory, I don't see any connection.

They have good desserts *shrug* but it certainly doesn't remind me of a cheesecake factory food-wise.

Oh, and reading your whole post - I think if you like buffets (i'm personally not a fan of buffet style food) then try going to Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The food is very yummy and I think since you like cheesecake factory's style, you'd probably appreciate the atmosphere too.

It'd give you a chance to check out the resort - plus down on the level of the restaurant near the elevator bank and the potties is the activity board. If you check that out, you can find out when your kids can do some really cool stuff at the resort like night vision goggle viewing of the savannah and certain arts and crafts through the days. You'd be able to note which ones you want to goto and schedule them into your trip. I really recommend the night vision viewing - it's neat.

You are phsyic - we were just chatting about all the other stuff you can do at Disney - we are staying in AKL and have Boma already booked for breakfast one day and dinner on another and I was gonna post to see how you found out about all the other bits & bobs that you can do via the hotel and now you've answered that question!

I thought the night vision thing was reserved for Concierge Rooms according to Allears - take it there is a different thing that we can do (we have upgraded to a Savannah Room) and what else is there we can do?

Thanks for the comments about the Cheesecake place - might end up giving it a miss as the kids wanted the same as what we had at the malls - we are on property for 1 week and off for 2 weeks so can go to the real one then for a slice of cheesecake heaven! and will look at something else at DTD for the evening we arrive I think.
