what do you think about The Magic School bus taking over WOL ?
The Magic School Bus is a series of books intended to teach scientific concepts to children

What made you think the Magic School Bus should go into Wonders of Life? It could work as a Body Wars replacement.

PS, this thread should be in the Imagineer forum, not General Discussion.

first its only a thought
second they are not really doing anything with that pavillion
third it would tie in with the original concept of epcot as a place to learn and have fun since the MSB series just isnt about the body but different science topics also

here is a list of the books
  1. The Magic School Bus At the Waterworks
  2. The Magic School Bus Inside the Earth
  3. The Magic School Bus Inside the Human Body
  4. The Magic School Bus Lost in the Solar System
  5. The Magic School Bus On the Ocean Floor
  6. The Magic School Bus In the Time of the Dinosaurs
  7. The Magic School Bus Inside a Hurricane
  8. The Magic School Bus Inside a Beehive
  9. The Magic School Bus And the Electric Field Trip
  10. The Magic School Bus Explores the Senses
  11. The Magic School Bus And the Science Fair Expedition*

While it would be great to see WoL being used for something...I don't really see too much for the Magic Schoolbus..

Kidcot's are fine...Too bad they don't have one for Imagination.

To coin a phrase;

Dumb down even more?

I think not.

Agreed. Does that show even come on anymore? The books were published way back. The last thing Epcot needs is a dated franchise.

I say make it a Weather Pavilion put a larger version of StormStruck here add smaller exhibits along with the thrilling new e ticket KUKA theatre experience, Storm Rider.

I voted "Just put it back", but only because there's no "none of the above" option.

Restoring it is preferable to "nothing" as we have now, but WOL was pretty dated the way it was. I'd much rather see something new and different, not necessarily Magic School Bus. Whatever it is should have more appeal to adults like the other pavilions.

I have no idea what to put in there, as I'm not terribly imaginative. That's what I pay Disney for.

Best replacement idea:

Horizons 2.0

:sohappy:

Don't know if I can see that residing in that building or not, but heck I'd ride it.

Yeah, I wasn't too fond of the original WOL either. I think the weather ideas thrown around are interesting, but no more kid stuff please. They can go see Nemo if they want, or visit the other park down the road.

Well, the imagineers could always push back a little bit into a show building behind the dome, just like every other EPCOT pavilion - and similar to how you pass through The Land to ride Soarin'. :sohappy:

My issue is more so aesthetics than space. Horizons building was so iconic and unusual that to just put it in a dome would be silly.

But like I said, anything is better than nothing and I would ride it anyway :p

Body Wars always reminded me of the Magic School Bus, but I don't think that is what they should replace it with. I think they should restore it and plus it. What about a Body Wars dark ride? You could ride through the body, and your vehicle would be carrying something to cure a sickness, and your job is to deliver the cure to a point in the body. Add in your typical Disney mishaps along the way, and you've got a new ride! It would show you how medicines work (educational) and could draw in crowds. Throw some Yanni music over the loudspeakers and we've got WOL back! Now if it were only that simple.

Actually, considering that I can't think of any other place to put a new pavilion and I would like to see a health pavilion and a weather pavilion in Epcot, Horizons would be excellent for a Tomorrowland expansion. Whether it gets put near Space Mountain (I believe there's some room to the side of it) or it replaces the Speedway, Horizons seems more fantastical, making it a better fit for Tomorrowland than Future World in my eyes.

As for WoL, I wouldn't do any of those things. Magic School Bus is basically a dead franchise, and putting WoL the way it was isn't great either, seeing as everything is dated. They need to get rid of the carnival theme somehow and replace Body Wars or give it an update like Star Tours. I think Cranium Command could stay. Otherwise, turn it into a weather pavilion by cloning Storm Rider from TDS and creating a new attraction.

I would still prefer an update the Imagination pavilion before anything gets done with WoL. It needs Dreamfinder and a new 3D show.

No Horizons.

Why not? Horizons is often regarded as one of the greatest rides Disney has ever created, and while I can't say myself as I've either never been on it, it seems like a very fun ride judging by videos.

Epcot is about moving forward. Besides EO that's what it should be doing. As much as I want to see the original Living Seas come back it needs to move forward and progress not go back.

Wouldnt a weather theme encroach on The Land's territory?
