Universal got rid of BTTF and put in the Simpsons Ride (haven't rode it) but Spiderman right now is the best 3d experience. With the right technology Star Tours 2.0 can blow it out of the water. What do you think? Is Disney gonna knock it out of the park?
... what?
These are two totally different types of rides. And why must either Disney or Universal try to beat each other all the time in generic ways, can't we love the rides for what they are?
I would have to go with a big YES on this, lol considering the first Star Wars weekend starts on May 20th and this is scheduled to reopen on May 16th.I hope it is on the same "quality level" as spiderman. I'm also curious to see if the Star Wars die-hards come out in mass for the opening like the Potter geeks (or like they did for Star tours 1)
From a 3D projection quality aspect I would say that it does have the potential to be the best out there. 3D quality (ie clarity, focus, etc) has improved dramatically over the last few years and I think the film quality in ST2.0 will be cutting edge.Universal got rid of BTTF and put in the Simpsons Ride (haven't rode it) but Spiderman right now is the best 3d experience. Don't talk about BTTF - I am still cross over that one![]()
Hardly. For 3D visuals that work for every seat in a moving environment, through physical show sets with physical effects in a realworld space, Spiderman will not be beaten by a 3 axis fixed motion base.Even Spiderman is closely related in the 3d simulator type although spiderman is moving.
While I love the BTTF movies and would have preferred an updated BTTF ride over an entirely new theme (I used to love The Simpsons too, but the show has been mediocre at best for a decade now)...Don't talk about BTTF - I am still cross over that one![]()
:sohappy:i just hope it shortens the toy story wait times a little :ROFLOL:
