We're thinking about trying out one of the WDW mini golf courses on our next trip, but have never been to one. Any opinions on which is better and why?

I like them both, but Fantasia is my favourite. I love the movie, music, and art in it, so that's probably why. Winter Summerland is fun, too, and it's more humourous than Fantasia. I'd recommend Winter Summerland to most normal people. I think it's only freaks like me who love Fantasia.

I like both also, but CM at Winter Summerland told me that Fantasia is a harder put-put course where Winter/summerland is easier. And according to the same CM The Winter half is harder then the Summer half. Of course I played real well on the winter half and bomb on the summer half. Fantasia is fun but yes it is hard. Plus at Fantasia they did have, not sure if it is still there, a mini Magnolia Put-put course next to it. This was back in 1997.

We've played both (all 3 actually) and enjoy them all. Without a car, Fantasia Gardens can be a little tricky to get to. You have to take a bus from a theme park to the Swan/Dolphin and then walk. Winter/Summerland is easier to get to, just bus to Blizzard Beach. If there is an easier way to get to Fantasia Gardens, please let me know. We would really appreciate it.

We did Fantasia Gardens & it was great fun. We didn't find the course all that hard (2 adults, 2 kids). Afterwards we went to the Boardwalk for dinner in the ESPN zone (or is it club...I never remember). We were staying at the WL so we drove over.

We've played all three courses and they are a lot of fun. I especially enjoy the Winter Summerland courses. The music and sceneries are great! In addition I think in December they hand out candy canes.:)

I have played all three courses, but I must say I love Fantasia Gardens. I love the setting, especially at night. All of the courses are fun though...maybe try them all over a couple of different trips!

We love Fantasia Gardens. It's become a tradition for us. We've considered the others, but they seem a bit gaudy to us. I might feel diferent about it if I went round the holidays.

I chose Fantasia Gardens after my "research" said that it's more of a Disney theme than Winterland Summerland which has a Santa and his elves theme. The one thing I wish we'd done is watch Fantasia just before our trip - we watched it soon after and I think we probably missed some of the details on the course.

If you're going during the sunny daytime, WinterSummerland is best because it has a lot of shaded areas.

How crowded do the minature golf courses get? Is it best to go during the day rather than the evening? We're planning on going to Winter Summerland on our next trip in 16 days! :xmas:

Day is always better than evening at any mini golf place.

Just a reminder, AP holders get a big discount on mini-golf for themselves and 3 others...

Yes phlydude, you can walk from the Boardwalk as you can walk from Swan or Dolphin. Without a car, if you are staying at say the Poly, you must monorail or boat to Magic Kingdom and then take the Boardwalk or Swan and Dolphin bus the the appropriate resort and then walk. Without a car, the only non-stop way to get to Fantasia Gardens is by cab.

Will you have children with you?

I ask because I think children would enjoy Wintersommerland more than Fantasia because of the fun theming. Especially at this time of year, the Xmas theming is so great!! It really puts you in the holiday mood!! I also think that the WSL courses are easier for the kiddos!!

I personally like Fantasia gardens, however I have never played Winter-Summerland. I think Fantasia Gardens is very challenging and greatly themed. Each hole is themed after a scene in the movie and has the acompanying music. Some of the holes react when you sink your ball.:D

When my wife and I go we always manage to loose at least 1 ball in the water.

We used to go to Fantasia Gardens in the evenings. If you time it right, you can watch the fireworks from the end of Fantasmic while you play. ;)

If I recall, Fantasia Gardens has two courses, right? I seem to remember us deciding to play the "harder" one once, but I thought it was kinda boring cause it didn't have all the really fun obstacles.
