Winter Static Cling

Hi all

Does anyone have tips on conquering winter static cling?
It's driving me nuts. Sometimes my clothes cling, it's mostly my hair sticking up or clinging to my face!

And I've tried dryer sheets and they do not help much.

Thanks!

Hmm alrighty. What is that exactly?

It's a spray that removes static cling

Blue can, orange cap.

It is usually in the laundry supplies isle of the grocery store. They also have pocket sized containers of it

Also, as was said before, increase the humidity in your house.

Found online:
  • If you’re wearing the clothes, wet your hands slightly and brush them over the surface of your clothing.
  • When doing laundry, separate synthetic fabrics, especially nylon, from the natural fabrics when putting clothes into the dryer
  • Do not over dry clothes in the dryer. Remove when barely dry
  • If clothes have static when removing them from the dryer dampen your hands slightly before folding the laundry
  • Use a fabric softener sheet in the dryer
  • For highly clingy items such as nylons slips rub a fabric softener sheet on the fabrics surface

Strangely, I have not had any problems with static whatsoever since moving to So Cal. I had horrible problems with it in North Carolina (a very humid state), but for some reason now that I live in the desert it doesn't seem to exist at all!

I changed my laundry detergent and fabric softener habits at the same time that we relocated, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Instead of buying liquid stuff, I only use these now:

They work awesome, my clothes smell and feel great, no static, and it saves me a ton of money, hassle, and mess!

(I think static in your hair comes from static in your clothes, so if you eliminate that, your hair won't go crazy)

I use those as well and we still have static from the cold dry air.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'm going to look into static guard. I don't know to do about the humidity, though. I've tried a humidifier and it didn't do much.
I've solved this problem with male pattern baldness. I don't know if it would work for you. (Although, around here you never know.)
If my hair wasn't so much a part of my personal style, I might consider this
