Windows Movie Maker Question

Hey Guys, I just started using Windows Movie Maker 2, since i just upgraded my service pack. Anyhow, I'm looking to add text to the screen in the foreground, so that any frame continue to run behind. I'm looking to be able to fade in text and such at different times. If you don't know what I mean, the best example is in Martin's videos, eg. Dinosaur version 2 by martin. Obviously martin is the best person to ask, but any expert advice would be fantastic :)

Thanks, Andy

Do you mean like superimposing text over video footage? If so, it can be done. Go to the Movie Tasks column and then click on the "make titles or credits" button Then click "title on the selected clip" add your text and change the way you want the text animated. You can drag the title overlay bar to change the duration of the text on the footage. You can make as many title overlay clips as you want. Hope this helps.

yep - thats the one! In the hundreds of tortured hours I`ve spent with WMM2  I found a little tip - some of the snazzy single line fades don`t include a drop shadow, which can make the text hard to read depending on the background. In the two line transitions there is a fade option which has drop shadows - I use this, even if its only for one line or one word.

Thanks guys! I didn't realise you could drag the title bar and such. I saw this tool, just wasn't quite sure about it! Big help, thanks!!
