Sorry if this has been asked before, but... What are the windows when you enter the paddle boat scene in Splash Mountain? As you enter, they are above on the right in with the trees.

I take it you've never ridden the train from Main Street to Frontierland? The windows are there so that the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah scene is visible from the train.

AWESOME! I never knew that. I only saw the section with Pocahontas. Any other cool bits I should know about? I have never ridden it all the way around.

That's really the only highlight of the Main Street to Fronteirland segment. You pass the crossing where the parade floats cross the track, and go through the alley between the Pirates queue building and the main show building... The rest is all trees.

Not to make this a "DL is better than MK" argument but our RR really needs to be brought up to their's. Never mind Primeval World (UOE lite) or the Grand Canyon diorama, they've got nice little details along the tracks that would be greatly beneficial on our longer course. IMO.

You can also see one the scenes from the last hill on BTMR. If you look down to the right (watch out for the falling boulders!) as you climb the mountain, you can see the showboat....

What? That seems physically impossible for a guest to see any SM scene from BTMRR.

You must be mistaken - you are inside a completely different structure. There is some scenery and some lighting effects inside Big Thunder, and I believe some colours may look alike; but one can cannot see the interior of Splash Mountain from there.

Okay... well maybe I am mistaken but I swear when I rode it last year I could see the the white showboat that has chickens or something on the top. I was swaying back and forth and had lights on it. Sorry for the confusion.

You are correct, but you can't see that from BTMRR......that is seen from the WDW Railroad, which is exactly what they are talking about. Right memory, just wrong location.

For those that usually travel to WDW in January/Feb, those windows are usually covered during refurbs. So if you are there during that time and ride the train you only see a tunnel from the train point of view.

Thanks! That makes me feel better! I thought I was going crazy! That just proves that I need to get back to that ride when we go in November!:sohappy:
