Am off to Wimbledon on Thurs and Sat this wk. Lucky enough to live 10 mins down the road. But temp is set for 30 degrees tomorrow which for London is hot, hot, hot!!
And on court can reach nearer 40.

Currently looking for my Sun hat as they have been pulling spectators out of their seats who have been in the sun too long.

DD and I are looking at it as training for the Florida heat when we visit WDW in October!!

@SJH'72 You are fortunate to live near Wimbledon and be able to attend matches there. I checked all the major tv networks here in America and did not see any coverage of Wimbledon on the 4th of July. It used to be that NBC would broadcast Wimbledon matches every year on that date. Maybe the tv rights were sold to a specialty sports network? The Tennis Channel? ESPN? USA Network?

Oh that's a shame. I assumed it would be on over there? It's wall to wall on the BBC for 2 wks here.

Will be setting off soon. Hoping thunderstorms are gonna miss the grounds!

Please give a report when you get back. I hope you get to see your UK rising star: Johanna Konta .

Will do. Thurs was great. No Konta or Murray (well we saw Jamie Murray in doubles) be we got on No 1 court which was good. Heat was insane though so very glad forecast is cooler tomorrow as we have whole day there.

I appreciate you coming back to the thread and giving both feedback and photos as well! :)
I used the edit feature to correct my incorrect spelling of "Konta".....in post 4 I originally had her name as "Conta" ......oops
Hope you enjoy the remaining matches.

Another lovely day at Wimbledon yesterday but very warm again.

Saw incredible ladies match with World no 1 Angelique Kerber who won under extreme pressure from young American player Shelby Rogers. She was incredible and must be thinking 'what if..?' this morn. Definitely one to watch.

Also saw very end of Sam Querrey match which saw him through to 4th round.

Highlight was balmy evening doubles match with Jamie Murray and Martina Hingis - amazing!

All in all a great day but will be watching second week on TV while pretending to do some work!
