As I understand it, S.I.R (orignally called the T.O.M. 2000) was voiced by Phil Hartman, however, when Michael Eisner saw the attraction and deemed that it needed to be "scarier", the voice was changed (or so the story goes).

As far as Test Track, the man in the pre-show bears a striking resemblence to John Michael Higgins, from Best in Show and A Mighty Wind.

BTW, to whoever has seen Little Miss Sunshine, the guy from Dinosaur (Wallace Langham) plays Kirby (the guy who gets Olive in the competition and claps for her at the end :lol: love that movie).

Just a slight ressurection of an old thread...

In the film in Theater 2 of Universe of Energy (after the diorama), there's the sequence showing man's progression from fire to today. It starts with Michael Richards as the caveman, but there's other people in the video, too. The one that stands out is the guy who becomes the train engineer.
It just dawned on me that he looks a LOT like Imagineer Joe Rhode... Is that him? (According to an old Disney Magazine I recently came across, Joe was also the original inspiration for Dreamfinder)

I have always thought that the voice for S.I.R sounded alot like Dr. Seeker in Dinosaur, does anybody know who did the S.I.R voice?

according to answers.com Tim Curry voiced the Audio-Animatronic robot S.I.R. (Simulated Intelligence Robotics) in the second preshow area. In the original version, the character was voiced by Phil Hartman.

The guy in the Dinosaur preshow was a regular on Veronica's Closet a few years ago, but I don't remember his name.

And we always call it "Rockin' rollercoaster starring Illieana Douglas" :lol:
