Will we see Valiant in the parks soon?

My guess would be "Not soon."

I'm not casting aspersions on the movie (although I wasn't that impressed by the trailer). I'm just saying that Disney would wait to see how the movie does in theaters (and maybe even video) before bringing any of the characters out for meet-and-greets. The youngest kids, the ones most prone to want to meet characters, will have little-to-no idea who these characters are, so they might not show as much interest as they would for characters for proven hit films. And how embarrassing would it be if they started bringing the characters out at or before the movie's launch, ONLY to have the film stiff so bad that people point and laugh at the poor CMs in the costumes. I know I'd be the first to go up to that pigeon and say "wow, only 9 million grossed in your first weekend, guess you'll be going back to that Buzz Lightyear costume soon, eh?" :D

I'd bet, if they have the rights to do what they want with the characters (being a Vanguard production I don't know if they co-own the movie or are just distributing it), they have tentative plans and designs for costumes or attractions or live shows or something. At least a tie-in with the bird show at AK. But they'll wait to see if the movie resonates so they're not associating the park with a stinkeroo.

Remember when people were asking if WDW would have some sort of "around the World in 80 Days" type attraction this time last year? Man, imagine if the parks threw some serious weight around THAT turd!

I saw it in the UK in February, and personally wasn't much of a hit with me. But it seems strange that Disney wasnt credited over here but it is in the US?!

It must be that Walt Disney Pictures is just distributing the film in the U.S. and not abroad. It's not uncommon for movie studios and distributors to work like that.

If the movie is just a distribution deal, as seems to be the case, then I too doubt the characters will end up in the parks.

I believe it is just a distribution deal that Disney has with the production company for the movie. I think it is actually a deal for several movies, so we might see more from the company in the future. They announced the deal shortly after Pixar negotiations fell thru last year and tried to show that they had other options besides Pixar. I am sure there are some press releases out on the web somewhere that talk more about the deal.

I also haven't heard any scuttlebutt about Valient characters making appearances any time at all, BUT I can confirm that Chicken Little and the Ugly Duckling will begin making appearances at the Studios in the near future.

I have only heard bad things about this movie and it didn't do well in the UK when it opened months ago. It is a very British movie too, so I don't think Disney is expecting it to do very well here in the US. I doubt they will go through the expense of creating the costumes and then not use them as it is a bomb. Atlantis and Treasure Planet characters are very rare and I think Disney wished the costumes weren't created.

I certainly hope not! Disney would not do well with a "Valient" themed ride. Of ourse i speak not having seen the film, so i have yet to really know. But from what i have seen, this film does not look like the type of film which a succesful ride / theme park could be based on.
