Will WDW Learn From WWoHP?

Very unlikely that this happened. VERY. Universal CMs would be terminated on the spot for that sort of thing. People at Universal have lives, their existance is not based off bashing Disney. Sure, you'll have one or two CM's that'll make the occasional crack, but it's nothing offensive. Most of the people employed at Universal are just like the ones that are employed at Disney, they're just people trying to make some money.

And since employees of Universal made fun of you all day, did you go to guest services and inform them of this horrifying experience you had?
Unlikely this happened, eh? My day to day card is the Disney Visa and one time I was using it at IOA and the cashier said "You can't use this card, it says Disney on it". I said, "Yeah, it also says Visa on it!".

Yep. And you just helped back my statement up. So thanks for that.

A Team Member made a joke about using a Disney card, but you were not in any form RIDICULED for having a Disney related item as some people in other posts in this thread claimed they were.

People only like WWoHP because it's new. Of course everybody's gonna want to buy butterbeer because they've never had it before and want to know what it's like.

While I've never been to Universal-Orlando, I checked out some YouTube videos of their rides last night, and I've got to say...while the rides may be fun, they don't have any of the magical-ness (not actually a word) that the WDW rides have. You can see ALL of the service entrances, all the infrastructure, and from the top of most of the rides, you can even see a lot of the warehouse styled buildingings that house other rides.

I'm still gonna go to Universal when I get a chance just to see what it's like, but nobody does it like Disney (even if it's not up to the standards it once was), so people should just stop complaining and enjoy both parks.

All I'm saying is that you can see non ride-like structures from other rides. Imagine if you could see the full building for the Haunted Mansion from the top of Splash Mountain. My point being...that nobody does it like Disney to keep you immersed in the fantasy that is each ride.

You haven't been there to determine that yet.

I think most of Disneys magic is in fan heads. You can see structures clearly from the top of Splash Mountain. Yet it only matters if you make it.

People are buying Butterbeer because its delicious!

Probably because the youtube videos are using nightvision or something that exposes stuff you wouldn't normally see. When you actually ride the rides, they are just as immersive as Disney's.

You can't avoid having guests see your ride show buildings when you also have tall rides and limited space. When you are not on Hulk, Dueling Dragons, or Dr. Doom, you can't see the show buildings (except Potter, but, thats another story...).

Tip # 1: the "soundstages" at DHS are not actually soundstages!

Tip # 2: the next time you are on Toy Story Mania, look up! Actually, look anywhere but the screens and be amazed at the level of detail on those plywood cutout props!

I agree, this is an eyesore, I just think that Disney does a much better job than Universal in the theme-ing (sp?) and concealment of their rides and attractions. I don't know why, but you seem to be taking this all too personally, so I'll just leave you with that final thought.

Disney theming is the best however I try to hold judgment until I am there in person.

Because its retarded to judge something you haven't even been to off of youtube videos. You would be blown away by the level of detail put into Islands of Adventure.

This mentality is yet another reason why Disney doesn't try as hard anymore.

"Disney is the best at everything, ever!"
"Have you been to any other park?"
"Well no, but... I don't need to because DISNEY IS THE BEST!!1"

My brother is retarded. I take offense to your comment.
