Will this ever happen?

The Disney Channel Rocks is one of my Biggest disney nightmares. I knew one day that channel would make it to the parks. What I want to know is that will it take over the parks? I dint want to walk into Epcot and hear the Fountain Of Nations being played to Hannah Montana nor do I want Wishes to have Disney Channel music. I just hope that music doesnt make it to the Fireworks, Parades of the Ambiance. I still blame the Disney Channel for the Ice Station transforming into Club Cool even you know it has that classic Epcot look. What do you guys think, is my fear getting to the best of me?

Its my nightmare too. Kids see Disney now as Zack and Cody, High School Musical and Camp Rock. I think more Disney Channel stuff is going to come. But I don't think it will completely take over the parks.

You need to expose them to the classics fast. The cartoon movies are a must. As ling as the ambiance and the major ourdoor shows arrant touched at least the night time ones including the Fountain of Nations I am happy.

Ugh, I hope not.

Really, I think this little stage show is just enough Disney Channel to satisfy the demographic that really wants to see that stuff.

If I ever had to listen to that music as part of a fireworks show, I'd be long gone from the parks before they even started (as I presume most other guests would be as well).

Come back to me when either song from the Disney channel tugs on your hear strings like "When You Wish Upon a Star........"

Until that happens I think Disney is smart enough to know that they have some strong roots to rely on (the classics) and this is what people want to hear

I doubt it. I think that the show is perfect for the audience they are trying to target and it is placed in the most appropriate park for it. The Disney Channel isn't new, and it isn't the first time that shows have been popular. I think that if you were going to see an influx of Disney Channel it would have happened already.

It has been happening. Kim Possible is in Epcot. Playhouse Disney has had different shows in the theater at DHS. Disney Channel Rocks has now replaced HSM at DHS. Phineus and Ferb are supposed to be somewhere as well.

On the other hand, I can't really see the live actor programs coming to and of the parks because they are live actors and it would be difficult to get look alikes. So, hopefully no Wizzards, Sonny, Suite Life etc at the parks.

I think the balance will stay similar to what it has always been... Mostly classics with some new Disney Channel-type stuff.
Don't forget some of the other characters who've had a presence in the parks... Doug, Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ace Ventura, etc.
Look at it this way... you get your tween daughter excited to go to the parks by saying "They have a Camp Rock show!" Then after that, you indoctrinate them with some of the classics. Typically, they prefer the good stuff in the long run.

I might not just see it but what used to draw me want to go to Disney more then ever and a few others as well was seeing a TV episode take place in Disney. I would want to follow my idols footsteps. I used to live to meet the original characters. I guess kids have no interest for that anymore. I remember the big thing of my day which was less then 20 years ago was the classics. I related to disney with the old characters and those built memories make me want to keep going back. I discovered things other then the characters, characters I never see on TV anymore. I do watch those old Disney Christmas cartoons at least once a year. I remember on Princes and Pirates night they were playing Ally and AJ and the Chetah Girls in Main street USA, Dont worry I have a little sister LOL. I was so upset and thought that was the default music LOL.

I seriously doubt it. Unlike the classic songs such as "when you wish upon a star," bippity boppety boo," "cirle of life," etc. The disney channel show is only temporary. Sooner or later the group of movies represented will be replaced by some other fad of talentless teens. So I wouldn't worry about WDW changing itself to be a disney channel resort.

I was so mortified when I went to WDW with my parents and the HSM parade was going down the street. We all booked to the nearest attraction to hide from the droves of fan girls and the creepy peppy music. I miss the old days, when Disney Channel showed stuff that was worth watching.

Anybody else remember Eric Korman (I think that was his name) going around the parks and showing you neat stuff about thew rides? What about the Disney Dreams sweepstakes that showed the boy getting to ride in the "Lim-Mouse-zine" the longest limo in the world? Or the little girl getting to ride with Cinderella in the Main Street Electrical Parade?

Am I the only one who used to watch "The New adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Under the Umbrella Tree, and Welcome to Pooh Corner, along with Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, and Tail Spin?

It’s all relative, Disney shows come and go the classics however are passed from generation to generation.
I used to watch Davy Crockett, The Mickey Mouse club with Annette, Jimmy, Cubby and Co. as well as Disney’s Wonderful World of Color, on a black and white TV set, but I digress.
DS watched Bear in the Big Blue House and BPJ when he was young, although he’s a teen now he will still sit down and watch a classic like Fantasia or a new classic like Toy Story with Mon and Dad.
On a side note, DS saw a Davy Crockett cap on the baby bear at Bear Country Jamboree and I had to explain it to him and then buy him one which we wore all night at the Magic Kingdom. He got some strange looks from younger people and a lot of “Davy Crockett? I didn’t know they still made those!” from old timers.”

No, I don't think so. Disney tween shows (while I like them) are just a fad. With the next generation comes a new fad. Disney classics are forever. They transcend the boundaries of time and generation. (Thank you Disney Sing-Along-Songs!)
