Will they ever build a new resort?

Agreed. Multi-room suites are a definite hot trend, but I doubt there will be a mod in that location. Hopefully somewhere else though. Getting tired of the constant DVC expansion, what about the rest of us we deserve something new too.

i know, i mean i love the dvc, but they need some new stuff for non-dvc members that is less expensive

The theme I would like to see is a Western Town and Native American Village. This would fit in well with FW and WL and could be a moderate hotel. You could also add a themed swimming area for all three resorts(River Country style, but better)

DVC resorts are available to anyone. If they build new DVC resorts, the DVC buyers pay for the construction, so it doesn't really cost Disney anything, but everyone benefits from them.

There was some construction equipment and steel beams near the Contemporary. There were some guys on the beams screwing around and playing with fire torches.

I wonder what that is for?

I thought I saw some sort of tower being built there but as Disney say otherwise I'm forced to believe it was just my imagination.
It's the second best kept secret at WDW. It's going to be a new, and the largest DVC kiosk on property. Keep it under your hat though.

I know that the tower they are building by the Contemporary is DVC villas plus additional rooms. I can't wait to stay there as my family is DVC members. I wish they would build another resort. Visiting the resorts is a vacation within itself.

Really, so I can book a room at Disney's Vero Beach resort or Disney's Hilton Head resort? I did not think the villas were available to non-DVC members besides renting from a current DVC member.

I agree, DVC has gotten a bit out of control. During our last visit in May, we did the whole DVC tour. The Cast member/Realtor told us that Disney DVC is only 35% built-out. The DCV is being built around the globe, but a majority of it was set for WDW property.

I think they need to hold off for a 5th gate before adding anymore rooms. The parks are way over crowded as it is, more rooms would just add to the congestion.

Less people in the parks equates to a better experience for all. Takes me back to the late '80's early '90's. How lovely the parks were, lets not mention the prices.

Don't forget the giant, unfinished section of Pop Century that's still sitting there.

Do you think the structure has been exposed too long to continue using it? I've often wondered if it could be used.

It's "under roof" so it should be proof against the weather. I, of course, have not been inside them, but they should still be in good shape. In all likelihood all they would have to do is finish the inside.

Well I personally would rather have the current parks be larger and more expanded than have a 5th gate.

BTW, let's not forget about Flamingo Crossings, people! Cheap hotels galore!
