Will Star Wars have any kind of impact on Epcot ?

Please no. Epcot should be about science fact, not science fiction.

I don't think original Epcot was inspired by Star Wars. They just shared common influences, e.g. Buck Rogers.

Yes. Jules Verne was the opening of Horizons.

Although Verne is more sci-fi, where Star Wars is more fantasy. Tolkien in space.

Star Wars could have a place in World Showcase. Showing how real world mythology has shaped the story. And how WS country locales inspired the look of Star Wars. Yucatan is Yavin, parts of Naboo are Italy, Hoth is Norway.

Would be awesome if Hoth were to take over Arendelle in turn. I'm then sooo gong to argue how The Empire Strikes Back fits in Frozen. I also want a ride where you board an AT-AT and shoot at running, screaming princesses.

I could see Tatooine at Morocco. It was filmed in Tunisia, but, Morocco kind of acts as representative for all North Africa and even the Middle East. Aladdin isn't really from Morocco, either.

I hope not, though. A little character presence in World Showcase is okay, but keep the emphasis on the real cultures.

I didn't see anything with Epcot that was influenced by Star Wars back when I first went to Epcot in the early 90's. I better not see nothing from Star Wars impacting Epcot in the future. I think the 14 acre Star Wars Land coming for DHS is good enough without the franchise impacting Epcot, Animal Kingdom, or Magic Kingdom.

What is happening with Norway is bad enough. The last time I went to the Norway store in Epcot, I saw more Frozen merchandise than items from Norway itself.

True... but honestly the Norway merchandise was so insanely overpriced vs what some of the exact items cost in a high end department store it was a joke.

Nah.. With the huge amount of presence Star Wars will be getting in HS.. There would be no need to do such a thing!

That's like saying Disney would spread an over-hyped movie throughout at LEAST 3 parks just to soup up some money and more guests with like.. A meet and greet, a skating rink, a sing-along show, a parade, a fireworks show, edged into Fantasmic.. Heck! That's almost as ridiculous as having ALL of that done before AND replacing some kind of popular, classic attraction unique to Disney.. All because of an over-hyped movie!!

Heck.. That's ALLLMOOOOSTTTT just as absurd as this idea.. Are you ready?! Keep in mind.. This would NEVER happen. Because obviously Disney knows better.. It's almost ridiculous.. As closing down Muppet Vision 3D for a sing along.. AAAND replacing some kind of HUUUUUUUGELY popular show.. (Let's just say, Aladdin! JUST an example) with a musical totally themed around that movie!!!
