ok so i was trying to get into le cellier.. ya no i know. so i decided incase i can't get a cancellation.. to book chefs de france. all they had available was with the candlelight processional, but they made me give a credit card to hold.

ok to my understanding.. i thought the processional was free to anyone and chefs is only 1 ts credit, so why would they need the credit card and will charge me if i don't cancel within 48 hrs.

maybe im missing something. can some explain:shrug:

They will charge because the booking gets you preferred seating at the processional. If you don't show, they've wasted a preferred ticket.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think any ADR that is tied to a show [Fantasmic!, for example] uses the credit card to secure the reservation.

the disney rep said we had to pay even if we show.

is the processional not a free show?

The processional is free, however they offer dining packages that give you reserved seating. They set aside a certain number of adr's for these packages, which means getting a regular adr can be difficult.

Here is some info about it from allears http://allears.net/tp/h_cpfaq.htm:

Is there a charge to see the Candlelight Processional?
No, it is included in your admission to Epcot. There is, however, a dinner package available for purchase that includes a ticket to Reserved Seating for the Candlelight Processional.
Seating without the dinner package is on a first come, first serve basis for each show. Folks line up 45 minutes (longer as you are closer to Christmas) before show time. 15 minutes prior to the show, seating is then opened up to those on line. Also, keep in mind if you wait in line for the 2nd or 3rd show of the night, that you will be hearing the show before yours as it is performed.
You can always stroll by the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase to listen to the music and wonders of Christmas.
If you wish to purchase the dinner package (explained below) with reserved seating, there is a charge.
What does the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package include?
2008 Dinner Packages begin booking on June 23, 2008.
Ring in the holiday season with a Candlelight Dinner Package, which includes dinner at a select Epcot restaurant and reserved general seating at the America Gardens Theatre during the Candlelight Processional. To make dinner reservations, call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).
You must eat PRIOR to your Candlelight show time!
Packages not available on Sunday, December 7, at 5 p.m. (Community Relations Showing)
Must guarantee the package with a credit card when booking. Payment is made when you dine at which time you will be given your tickets for the general reserved seating.
Package includes a non-alcoholic beverage. Package does NOT include tax, gratuity or lobster entrees.
