Trip Report Will it ever stop raining? Our June 2017 trip

Hi, all!! I've finally had a chance to start going through my photos and thought I would get started on my trip report! For those of you not familiar, here is my pre-trip report:
Adventure is out there...June 2017
If you don't want to read the PTR, here is a brief synopsis before I get started:
Who: Me (Amy), DH (Brian), DS Logan (14), DD Lily (12), and DS Owen (9)
When: June 2-17, 2017
Where: Universal Studios (Hard Rock Hotel), Disney (Art of Animation), and SeaWorld

For those of you who followed along with the live portion of my PTR, I apologize that some of the photos will be the same. I'm too lazy to go back and remember which ones I used!

I experienced one of the longest days of my life on Friday, June 2!! We left Dayton, Ohio before 5am.

Neither one of us drinks coffee, but we definitely needed some caffeine to start our morning! We stopped for the best Coke in the world!!

McDonald's!!
We had a little delay in Cincinnati because I-75 was closed both directions and we had to take a little detour.
We waved @LisaBelle and @21stamps and any other Cinci friends as we finally drove over the bridge and entered Kentucky!

We made sure to get past Lexington before morning rush hour, and stopped in Richmond for breakfast.

The kids had never had Chick fil A for breakfast, so we had to correct that!

It was still raining, so we decided to go see Voyage of The Little Mermaid.

And it was still raining when we exited, so we headed to The Great Movie Ride.

And it was still raining when we exited, and it was too early for our last FP+, so we just wandered for a bit!

We then headed to dinner, knowing we would wait a little since we would be early, but we wanted to get out of the rain.

Really enjoying your report, thanks much for sharing with us! I had to share, my husband thinks I'm quite strange at my need to take pictures of our food,,,, I can't imagine his response if I started taking pictures of garbage cans! I may have to give it a try! lol

We ducked into Pixar Live to get out of the rain for a little bit. I'm so glad we did! It was so cute, and the kids enjoyed it much more than I thought they would!

Unfortunately, we had to leave before it was finished to make it to our ToT FP+.
It was still raining, and Owen didn't want to ride, so he and Brian waited for us in the gift shop.

Thank you, and you're welcome! Brian and the kids have gotten so used to it that they just automatically wait to start eating! Even when we aren't in WDW, Logan will tease me and ask if I want a picture before he starts eating!! Smart teenagers! The kids definitely made fun of the trash can pictures!

It was still raining, and they weren't sure if Fantasmic! would be canceled or not, so they weren't letting people into the theater yet, so we perused some shops and just enjoyed the lights coming on!

Ohana bread pudding has me drooling.

Love all your Lularoe! My friend and I have been trying for the villains, watched about 10 live streams and we finally scored some leggings! Hoping we can rock them in January!

Just made it to your AK day! I am so excited to read!!!! You capture the details and for this I love you!!!

Once again, thanks for the wonderful and funny pictures They bring back so many memories of our times in HS, too.
I am glad to see the pics of Pixar Live. I would never of thought to try this, but you can bet I will be there the next visit. I love the characters and the music so much. Another gem that I love is The Little Mermaid; what a beautiful voice the live mermaid has!
For some reason the storm troopers scare me! Don't know why but it must be a deep seated childhood horror of some kind LOL. I avoid them at all costs, and if one looked at me I would have a heart attack. Following gladly

I don't usually mind a little rain on our trips, but it got really old this trip!! I almost would have rather had a hurricane because it would have been done and over with in a few days!

I don't have any of the Luluaroe Little Mermaid or villains stuff yet. I keep watching and hoping!!

I absolutely love when someone else is as enamored with AK as I am. I could easily spend days on end there and still not see all of the little details!

We really enjoyed Pixar Live! I hope they continue it in some form (I think I read that it is no longer playing) in the future.

We hadn't seen Voyage of The Little Mermaid in awhile, I was pleasantly surprised that the kids seemed to enjoy it.

You probably wouldn't want to do the Star Wars dessert party then, the storm troopers were walking around and interacting with everyone!!

So fun to see the Fantasia Gardens photos! Those water buckets got us when we went a few years ago, too. I have never heard of Trattorio al forno restaurant.....had no idea there was a character meal with Flynn Rider. Looks fun.....disappointing that the food wasn't better. I am learning a lot from your report....things to try (and not try) on our future trips. Thank you!

You got a lot accomplished at Hollywood Studios in spite of ANOTHER day of RAIN......wow - unbelievable! Love all the detailed photos.....including the trash cans!
